Brake parts for 1980 Bigfoot

Does anyone know what replacement brake parts are compatible with a 1980 Bigfoot? The drum was an easy swap, but I can't find any info on shoes, magnets etc.

Shawn.
My much newer 1999 Casita uses Dexter axles and complete backing plates that contain all breaking parts are inexpensive.

I would suspect that if you knew what your new drums fit that getting the corresponding backing plates might work.

Note, there's a left and right side, they are different.

I wish I could just pop in a new backing plate complete with all the other parts, but the existing backing plate is welded to the brake flange.

NorthernTool.com
I used to refurbish Eggs.
I've ordered at least 10 complete brake sets from them over the years.
Great company.

Bigfoot says the axle was made by Standens. Standens thinks the brakes might be Dexter. However, the brake part identification charts that I've seen lead me to believe that the brakes are made by Hayes.

Electric brakes are either 10" or 7".

The last trailer I rebuilt was a Lil Bigfoot and the brakes came from them.
Call them, they will be glad to help you.
Both sides including drums are around $250.00 and with backing plates are about $120.00.
All you do is bolt them on!!
