Speaking of registering... I thought to copy my post about VIN's here:
Quote:
On my Fiber Stream the VIN "plate" is actually a thick tinfoil like sticker next to the amber (street) side marker light, glued to the fiberglass body, about the size of a business card. It lists the Manufacturer; "The Fiber Stream Company", of "Mira Loma, California", Date of Manufacture; "month: 3 year: 1978",and the VIN: FS781041.

I also have a metal foil sticker near the door. It is a Seal of Compliance by the State of California, that the trailer was manufactured to code in force at the date of manufacture. The VIN (FS-78-1041) is there, also.

Good Morning Benita, Just to let you know, our Stream is a 1985. How did that Stream make it to Mexico? That is going to be a long trip to the Oregon gathering....but I'm sure he's gonna make it!!

HI! Ron, and welcome.
We have several people with Fiber Streams on this great site and they may be at work and will get back to you soon.
While you are waiting you can go to the top right and click on the Search button and type in Fiber Stream and I bet that you will get plenty of info. Jay

John Lawrence and I are trying to recreate some pre-hack Fiber Stream posts. We don't have a drop dead date for the project. Just keep watching.

hi fellow Streamers, just wanted to alert you all to my pics of my Lulu and her lovely new coat of paint, have before and after shots posted on Victor's rebuild thread because I hadn't found this Streamer's registry yet. I bought mine in Portland Oregon 15 years ago from traders who had just purchased her from an estate sale in Arizona, then eventually brought her with me here to Toronto, Canada. I think she's a '76 or '78. Irony was learning that originally she had been built in my hometown of San Diego! Eventually I'll post pics of her re-done interior and what she looks like with the screen room and fenced yard for the pups. I love my Lulu, will dote on her all my days, I expect. Glad to know you are all out there still, too. Robin W.

Just as Robert & I were departing from San Diego to start our trip up the coast to the 2006 Oregon Gathering, a van pulled up beside us at a traffic light and the driver frantically waved at us to stop at the curb beyond the intersection.

This is how we met Becki, a Fiber Stream owner in San Diego, who lives within 1/4 mile of my work, where I store mine! She bought hers new, direct from the factory, and remembered the guy who built them. She was excited to see another one, and she told us that she knew a man in Coronado, CA (a city across San Diego Bay from Downtown San Diego) who owns one. His name sounded like the guy who recently wrote an article in a magazine I read, that I got free on my last trip to Camping World.

I had to repeat our website to her, but I also plan to visit her under calmer circumstances once we return home. We had such a short time to make introductions, that I felt that follow-up would be required.

Hey! Actually, I'm in Washington - Clarkston, to be exact. I'm not far from Idaho, tho! And the F/S is a '79. And is still for sale if anyone's interested!

Fiber Stream owners may be interested to know that our trailer is featured in a new book.
"Teardrops And Tiny Trailers" by Douglas Keister

In the 4th chapter, "Glass Houses", a Fiber Stream is featured, along with a Compact Jr.
and a couple of Bolers.

Douglas Keister attends Tin Can Tourist rallys to get his photographs. I just joined that group. I wonder whose Fiber Stream that is in his book?

Lynn P.'s from Washington is now Robert N.'s (Bear if you please, they wouldn't let me register as my used name, bear). It's currently in Alaska. In 12 months, it will be back in Oregon.

It isn't an alias or screen name. Even my mother calls me Bear.
