I noticed that the Surfside I've come to $ terms with has a sagging roof on the back end of it. You can't really notice it on the interior but from the outside you can see that it sags. IS this a concern I should have ? Do the older shells get kind of soft ? Anything that can be done to fix this or correct it ?

Thanks,

Hi!
Mine sagged too. The previous owner had removed the support that runs from the left of the sink to the overhead cupboard. When I rebuilt the kitchen, I replace this support and now I don't have a sag there. I don't think that it is soft, just unsupported.

I don't think there is a support in mine...can you post a pic of what you've added?

Thanks!

Hi!
I am terribly sorry but I am just a smidge above being completely computer illiterate, posting a picture is well above my knowledge level. However, I have seen excellent interiour pictures of Boler and other 'Egg' trailers that often show a wrought iron support that runs from the left hand side of the counter top up to the overhead cupboards. I would understand that a lot of people remove it for reason of practicality - it gets in the way. The support is quite important in maintaining the shape of the trailer, without it the roof sags. When I removed all supports and closet from the Surfside during rebuild the roof sagged over 1.5 inches, and a particular spot in the rear over the table happily sagged further. When the kitchen and closet were reinstalled the sag disappeared.
Hmm,
I assume you are talking about the roof sagging, not the body sagging?
Mine also had a wicked body sag where the sidewall had sheared away from the floor. I haven't a clue what caused it. I jacked up the body to where it should have been and then proceeded to fiberglass (5 layers polester) the joint so the body would hold in place.
