17 foot Boler toilet replacement

Next on the hitlist is our toilet. It leaks a bit when we leave the pump on or the water hooked up.

I want to put in a ceramic bowl toilet and I had my eyes on the Dometic 310/311 low profile. I'm not sure on the dimensions as vintage trailer supply indicates that it needs 10.5 inches from the wall to the center of the drain hole..I measured my toilet bolts (center) and they are about 9.5 inches from the wall.

from wall to edge of the lip is juust under 15 inches.

So anyway, given that info and assuming there are lots of people who have replaced their stock toilets... what models do you guys use? anyone put a 310 in their 17 foot?

If there's nothing else wrong with the toilet, other than the fresh water valve is leaking... put in a supply line shut off. About $7 at the big box stores. Call me cheap!

Well it isn't just that..it's still a gross old toilet heh

and besides, it's actually probably easier to just turn the pump on/off (except for the city water hookup portion)

I went to Meridian RV today and measured up their floor model 310 and it looks like it'll work. They don't have the low profile (311) model in stock so I think i'm going to order one from the interweb.

Don, did you get what you wanted? Let us know how it came out. I was thinking on doing a change on mine. Not sure what size black water tank is in there but I know it does fill up fast.

YES I did.. Dometic 311 (aka low profile 310)

I'll post up some pics once I have it all done but it fit perfectly

FYI, all the documentation says you need AT LEAST 10 inches from wall to center of your poo hole..... and I only had 9.5.. Well that's BS. Mine fit with room to spare!

FYI, I'm still sorting out plumbing.. my water inlet is about 2 inches off so I have to get/make an S shape sorta out of some fittings.. but boy oh boy is it comfy

I will have to put this on my to do list. Mine leaks clean water when you flush. I built a pvc floor board to put your feet on so it doesn't get wet and helps my girl reach the "poo" area.
Glad to hear you had 10 inches LOL!
Yes please take a pic or 2 before you use it.
If you get a chance, post some pics of your Boler. Love to see it!

No problem..I have a few pics on the camera from the Vintage meet last month in Washington..I should get them up.

I also picked up a USB/Cig Lighter outlet panel from that same site - a little pricey at 25 bucks but I couldn't find anything else reasonable/similar - It will allow me to use 12v devices, charge phone/usb devices without being plugged in OR having an inverter.. because really, who wants an inverter to convert 12v to 110v back to 12v, and then to 5v for USB? seems just a tad ridiculous don'tcha think?
