boler propane lines
I was thinking of using flexible rubber hose (propane hose) instead of copper inside the trailer. has anyone ever used it? is it safe, up to code?
i can't use copper to take the sharp corners without creasing
any thoughts?
thanks

There are fairly cheap automotive tools for bending copper and steel tubing.

Yes, and use a flaring tool on the copper lines. It's not a good idea to use ferrule fittings.

copper fitting
In Canada I believe or should say it's not allowed to use compression fittings for fuel lines for hookup to a furnace, so would imagine it would be the same for a RV

I did residential propane installation for heat and hot water years ago. Flare fittings only, and we used a heavier flare nut referred to as a "frost nut". A search here will bring up previous discussions on this subject. For under a trailer iron pipe is recommended.

They do make a copper propane tubing that is covered with an outer protective skin for direct bury. Contact your propane gas company and discuss it with them.

Per National fire code here in the US you can't use rubber hose inside. If using copper you need to use double or single flair fittings. I would check the code in Canada since you live there.

Had to do some work and was told no fittings inside trailer except to connection at the fridge stove or water heater, all splits outside under floor? Also some sort of paste/tape for the threads. I am not a gas fitter but did not argue with someone who was.

They have a pipe bender that will do a 1" curve and a spring looking pipe bender that work well have both but spring type need to match size of pipe.
