Yea i Am doing that, but i want to know what people hbe used to paint the actuall cabinets themselves, the smooth fibre glass

A marine grade polyurethane would be the most durable, using the same products that were used on the ensolite in my article will work, not quite as durable but they have the advantage of being really easy to touch-up any chips or damage.
