Let more good times Roll.

Wow!
How exciting, congratulations.

I am new to the forum and can feel your enthusiasm. Getting closer to taking a year off and being a full timer and the excitement is building.

We have a 2004, 17 ft. Casita and have been super happy with it. After seeing the 5.0 TA and reading all about how accommodating the builders are and how happy new owners are with their Escapes I am looking forward to owning one in the future. I am already deciding how to make one just right for our adventures.

I look forward to reading more about your new Escape.

Steve

I have the date July 3rd circled in big fat red ink on my calendar! Orientation and pickup date. It will be nine days old when I leave for the Oregon Gathering. Fun times ahead!

Nice TUG!
Because of some back issues, I need a very good chair to be comfortable. The flat dinette cushions do not work for me. The first change I would do would be to leave out the rear dinette and put two swivel chairs in it's place. I would need to move the water and I think the batteries. For the water I could use a flat tank under the swivel chairs and I am sure we could locate the batteries elsewhere.
I will talk with Escape and see what they think.

Thanks Steven, I really like the truck.

I had a talk with Reace about leaving all the cabinetry out of the rear of the 5er. I too wanted more of a "livingroom" with at least one comfortable Bark-O-Lounger. Reace said, no can do. The rear would get floppy without the support of the cabinets.

Instead, I'm getting the U-shape dinette, with an extra 12" filler board and extra cushion. And, I'm making some big fluffy pillows. This area will now be my lounging area, rather than a dinette.

However, if you're willing to do the work... perhaps you could remove the cabinets, move all the stuff that's stored there. Then, fiberglass wood to all those areas along the wall, cutting kerfs to bend to the shape. That SHOULD help with the "floppy." Of course, it would probably negate your two year warranty too.

Maybe you can get Reace to change his mind too. I can see it now, Escape 5.0TA version TWO!

Best of luck!

Thanks Donna,
Very interesting.
Never thought of that structural issue. I guess that's why he is the builder.
Your idea sounds well thought and a good compromise.
It will be a while before we order ours so I have lot's of time to do some head scratching.
Are you putting a bike rack on your rear bumper?
Steve

Yes, I'm getting the extra hitch. Bikes and camping kinda go hand-in-hand.

Love the color, Donna.

White is the safest color on the road (except in a snow storm
So easy to take care of and doesn't show the dirt. Have a wonderful day!

Hi: Steven king... Here's some pic's. of our Ushaped dinette option in our "Escape Hatch II". We chose to use the std. Escape fabric and floor, but went with a darker Formica for the counter/table. Pick up is June 3rd. so we're getting things ready to go NOW!!!

Look forward to meeting you and your wife. Tammy and Reece said I could come to the rally cause half my trailer is made up of Escape parts. Hahaha.

Marina, seeing you and your furfriend (sorry, I forgot his name) were well behaved last year, you are always more than welcome as an SOB .

Why, thank you Jim. It was fun last year and I know Tony will enjoy it this year as well.

Deer don't pay too much attention to colors. Hit one with a white Saab and hit one with a cinnamon van. Now that we don't work we need not travel the early morning and twilight hours. No more evenings out for us. Daytime driving has benefits.

I so want to see your new trailer. Hope you will post pictures of all angles of the interior.

Well after I posted that I see there is a whole page in between. thanks Alf for the pictures, I still want to see Donna's too.
