Question 17" Bigfoot awning dilemma...

I had an unfortunate issue happen that required me to cut my awning fabric off during a trip lately and now need to replace the awning, not the aluminum structure but the fabric itself. Can anyone tell me where to buy a replacement? Thanks for the help.

I bought one on Ebay a few months ago. It was $120. Mine was a 10 foot. There are several Utube videos that will help with the replacement process. It's necessary to release the tension on the springs and re tension them after the new fabric is installed. If you decide to do it yourself, be careful. The springs can cause injury.

I believe it is an A&E awning. I did watch the utube videos about the tension and retensioning. Thank you for pointing this out. Helpful and keeps me safe. MTG

I'll second the Ebay buy. Do have to ask where you cut it though. If it was at the top rail or bottom you can reroll the edge and sew it back up and only loose about 8". I did that twice on a class A as the desert sun really does a number on it if you don't have the metal cover at the top. BTW, they do make a PVC type cover, 4' sections, that snap over the rolled up awning while storing it.

Awning...

I was on the road and the awning was coming apart. Unfortunately I had to cut it on both ends to get the aluminum structure to seat back in place. Was not a good time. Now will look on Ebay for another to replace it. thanks all.

On a positive note Tom, the old awning makes a great tarp .
