2002 13' Scamp Escape Hatch Cover - where to buy?

The escape hatch cover to my 2002 13' Scamp broke. After talking to Scamp. their parts guy believes I need the 18 x 25 Heng's Jensen cover. It's only $50 on the Scamp site but costs the same amount to ship. Seems crazy that it costs that much to ship. Does anyone know of another source to get a cover?

Did you talk to the parts guy about shipping cost? OR did you simply look at shipping cost on their web site?


If you didn't talk to the parts guy about shipping cost you might want to consider a phone call and see what they say. I've found that shipping cost are a whole lot less by talking to parts than going through the web site.

No, Byron, I didn't. Thanks for the heads-up. I'll give them a call instead of ordering online.

I'm new at Scamping. Is there anything that you typically should order just to have on hand? I think that I'm good on rivets & snap caps from the previous owner, only curious what else I should stock up on.

I usually buy my escape hatches and covers from Teeties RV only $7.99 shipping. Their prices were fairly close to Scamp's. The problem is getting the measurement points an P/N correct for the hatch dealing with Tweetie's. (call them) Scamp only used two size escape hatches so no issue getting the correct hatch from them.
