How to remove bumper stickers from my Boler

Hello everyone,

I have just acquired a 1974 Boler and I'm cleaning it all up. It is in pretty good shape, especially the inside. I've been reading and I'm going to clean it up with Barkeepers Helper and possibly shine it up (I think I've read the "Check this out, not Poliglow" thread twice all the way through) . I've got one small issue, there are two bumper stickers that were put on the outside and I'm wondering if anyone has any tricks to remove them? Thanks!

Heat from a blow dryer and those plastic putty knives can work well. Or kettle of hot water. Heat softens the adhesive. Plastic putty knife won't gouge surface, might want two or three the edges don't last all that long. But they are cheap.

These 3M stripe off wheels are erasers that go on a power drill. They are incredibly fast and easy. I did every pin stripe and decal on my scamp in less than 2 hrs. Little pricey for two bumper stickers but for ease of use they can't be beat. Just make sure things are cleaned, don't want to rub dirt and leave scratches.

3M Stripe Off Wheel 07498, 3/8" Mandrel, 4" Diameter x 5/8" Width, Beige (Pack of 1): Power Rotary Tool Accessories: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific Also available at auto parts stores, especially auto paint stores.

I have used goo gone (at least that is what I recall it being called) on mine for caulk with no damage, don't know how it would do on stickers and I was applying near the belly band not out in the middle of the surface.

GooGone to get the sticky stuff off after the sticker is off.

In my experiance, De-Solv-It is far better than GooGone.

I've used both but De-Solv-It gets the job done when GooGone wont touch it.

I use a heat gun to heat up the decal and peel it off. Any sticky stuff will usually come off with WD-40.

I forgot about WD-40 yes that stuff works great on tape and other sticky adhesives. Good call.

It may or may not work.. But taking labels off beer bottles is super easy with oxy clean. one scoop of the detergent and 1 gallon warm water work wonders in several minutes. But the only downside I don't know how you'll keep the mix on the trailer.

Use plastic, DON'T use a metal putty knife it may score or gouge the gel coat. Don't expect immediate perfection. Take the time necessary.
