How to install a ac on our new 16ft scamp

Anyone have a video or step by step on on installing an ac in our 16 ft 2011 scamp. It was prepped at factory so the roof is reinforced
Any brand that we should buy

If you really want to install roof AC (I installed window type AC in the bottom of the closet near the door), I'd travel to Scamp factory in Backus, MN. They know where the reinforcement is, where to cut the 14"x14" hole in the roof and how to do it RIGHT.

AC in closet

Sergey, did you document the install of your AC? I have an '81 Scamp 13
in need.

No, I did not... The idea was to put a 5000 BTU AC on the closet's floor, make 2 rectangular holes in the floor and build plywood ducts to separate air intake and outgoing flows to the AC. The holes are covered with register vents on the trailer's bottom. It works good to me. No extra holes in fiberglass.

Some companies run the romex wiring up to the reinforced area and down to a breaker as part of the A/C prep package. If you have an unconnected romex cable by your breakers you should be able to trace it to the install location.

I suggest a Coleman low profile.
Adding the A/C should be no more of a challenge than adding a roof vent. It even takes the same 14"X14" opening...
Here are some details ...
NOTE: I DO NOT recommend Camping World. They simple show the A/C.

Here are a few photos from a recent Fantastic Fan Install I did.
Sorry they are the best examples I have but They may give you the idea or at least encourage you to give the project a shot!...

Search YouTube using the magnifying glass button for: AC install fiberglass rv, you will get numerous responses. Remove fiberglass from your search and you will get more. That is helpful to find various brands of ACs.

Here's a video of an install on a molded fiberglass roof. The whole trailer isn't fiberglass, but theirs is arguably as hard.

do it the way suggested

I have a roof a/c it worries me all that weight up on top. if I was going to do it I would put the a/c in a closet as has been suggested.

my own real idea is no a/c at all we don't need it or use it your milage may vary suit yourself!
