Fiber Stream Trailer

Hello

I bought a 16 foot 1984 fiber Stream trailer for $2700, It is in decent shape. Can you tell me if this was a good deal and where this trailer was made. I have not seen any of them. I also I lost the metal piece than goes on the exterior (outside of the Trailer)of the refrig. Is this something that is available at camping world or will I have to make one.

Thanks for the web site.

Randy

Hi Randy,

You are the fourth Fiber Stream owner to post here. The first to post, a couple, sold their trailer to me. The second, was me. The third person bought a gutted FS on ebay. And now you. Also, one board member posted a link to the photos of a Fiber Stream owner who never got involved on the board.

Everything I know about the trailer is in my past postings.

There is no real benchmark on what is a fair price for a Fiber Stream. No one here has a trailer that is pristine. Once you calculate customizations and mods, the question becomes what is the trailer worth to you? Some folks place a premium on the double axles. For others, the full size kitchen amenities are more important. Still others like the wood paneling that mine and Susan Broadhurst's have. For me, a self-contained bathroom was important.

FWIW: You couldn't have bought mine for what you paid for yours. Yours is a later vintage than mine. What model Fiber Stream do you have? (I'm not sure what models Fiber Stream offered but I suspect that not all of them had wood paneling.) It is entirely possible that your trailer is in far better condition than mine is.

If you can, post pictures of your treasure. Let us all know how you enjoy your new toy.

If you are talking about the refrig grille, you may be able to find one at an RV salvage place.

Here are some pictures of the Fiber Stream. Since the original post I have backtracked and found the frig grill, It's a little worse for wear but works for now until I find another

:flowers :wineS W E E T ! !

Now I know what mine might look like if I ever finish detailing it. The exterior seems pretty much the same on th 82-84 models. Mine does still have a bumper though. :L

I think the awning stinks. Not that user-friendly for a lady by herself. I plan to let it down once a year to air unless sour water or mold is detected.

I will have to find the pictures of yours and see if I can see what the bumper looks like. I'm curious
