Trailer: Fiber Stream 1982 16 ft

Hi all!

I'm a new owner of a 1982 16' Fiber Stream, with a couple of questions/needs.

1. Does anyone have the original Fiber Stream owner's manual with specifications that they could copy for me?

2. On my windows, there are small plastic clips that snap into the rain drains. I am missing a few. Does anyone know where I can get them?

3. My trailer clearance lights are small circluar ones, located at the bottom front and back of the trailer, about 2" in diameter. Are these a standard type? I need a red lens for one of the rear ones. Where might I fond one?

Thanks in advance;

Victor Benz

Hi Victor

Welcome to the board. I'm adding your name to the registry of Streamers.

The Fiber Stream has no manual.

Frederick, a California Streamer, may have your answer regarding the weep hole covers.

There is a link across from the login field that says "Search" enter your keywords like "Fiber Stream documentation" and you will get a list of past posts on the keyword topic. Hint: there is a post there.

I know you are going to love your trailer. Have you named it?

Are you the new owner of Beth Peery's 1982?

Don't forget to post pictures of your honey here. We love pictures.

Benita;

Thanks for the quick response, very helpful.

Yes, I purchased Beth's trailer this past weekend and brought it home.

We haven't named it yet, but our old 1978 21.5 foot Aljo was called "Rock & Roll" for the way it leaned after I flipped the axles.

After personalization, I'll post photos.

#2. I have a supply of "rain drain clips" AKA "weep hole hoods". Anyone who sends me a PM (Private Message) with your mailing address, and the count of how many you need, I will send them to you. I think I have at least 12 left... but, there might be 22 left in the bag. I have a supplier who needs me to order them in lots of 60 to meet his minimum. They only come in black now. If you have white ones (like the originals on [b]my Fiber Stream) you may wish to replace them all.

#3. Yes, the side marker lights are a standard type. If you don't have a supplier near you, I have several vendors that I can look through and get you one. Just let me know!

Vic, if you can find the lights in the GO-RV.com catalog, you can get them through lots of RV parts dealers in the area: this is the link to the catalog with Woody's pricing: Woody's at GO_RV. There are lots of parts sources, but I just find it convenient to be able to get at the catalog online, and this supplier (and thus catalog) is used by dealers all over North America so references in this catalog can be useful to other FiberglassRV members.

I'm not sure how much parts shopping you've done for earlier trailers or projects, but it might help to know that a good Edmonton-area source of truck and trailer parts such as lights is Gregg Distributors.

For those wondering why I'm pointing a guy in Stony Plain to Edmonton sources, Stony Plain is a small town just west of Edmonton.

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

Thanks Brian;

I'll take a look at these places. My previous trailer was a large old Aljo, where weight control was not a real issue, and neither was conforming to the original design, since it required a major rebuild.
