So is this a pretty common problem with vintage
fiberglass RV's? My
Burro door bows away from the trailer near the top. The previous owner built up the rubber gasket thickness as it nears the top of the door. It makes a tight seal but I worry it will get worse over time. Is there anything that can be done to prevent or slow the bowing? I see fixes that involve serious "scoring" or cuts in the door and then a lot of trial and error to get the curve of the door to match the trailer body. Followed by new
fiberglass to hold the shape. yikes. Are there and preventive measures? Latches at the top and bottom of door maybe?
Thanks,
Tom
