trillium is no more
Trillium is no longer being made under that name. They are now known as Sidekick.
trilliumrv.com
Manufacturing is being moved to Winfield, Alabama.
I wonder why the original Trillium in Markham closed, and what the problem was during this iteration.

The web site is still up, why do you say Trillium is no more?

Tom never was really able to get his footing when starting up the new Trillium. He was so busy he wasn't communicating with his trailer owners/future buyers, etc. I wish how all this is going to shake out... much success.

So I should be glad I just ordered new stickers from Tom?
I asked him a question last week and this was his reply:
"I'm away till the end of July. I'll try to help on this after that time.
Trailers are now being built by Great West Vans."

That's right, y'all just keep coming "South" with your trailer businesses. I am saving my pennies for a "new" FGRV, set up just like I want it for retirement in a few years and want to pick it up at the factory without it being a expedition to go get it. I love you Yanks and Canuks and all but if I can avoid a road trip (until AFTER I get the rig fitted out) I am all for it!
I just put the new address in Google Earth and see I will be about 60 miles from the factory in August. If I thought they would be up and running and giving tours it might be worth taking a side day-trip to check it out.

The new factory is only 75 miles from where I live so I probably check them out later in the year. I wonder if they are going to sell direct from the factory like casita, scamp, ect ?
BTW They did state that they were going to start giving factory tours in August but to call ahead.

My correspondence with Tom was on Thursday and USPS just dropped off the decals 30 minutes ago. I didn't order the blue decals, just the parallelograms and the rock guard.
I was charged 3x the amount for shipping shown on the postage sticker, but I digress.

Last email I received from Tom was that he was leaving on the 20th driving to Canada. Expecting to arrive at my place somewhere around the 26th.
Got a postmark on the package Kelly? Sounds like he was shipping stuff just before he left. Hope he did not get orders mixed up.

I went home at lunch. A package from Trillium was in my mail box. Thanks Tom.
The postage on my package was way higher then Kelly's.

For the past year and half or more they have been selling the Sidekick out of various RV places across Canada, pretty sure some have made it into the US as well.
There is still www.trilliumtrailers.com in Calgary. Some might argue they are the original trillium anyways other than the change the name to Outback due to legal issues with Tom when he attempted to head off to the US to build his own.

Yeah they seem to sell them out of a few RV dealers in the US also. The nearest dealer is about the same distance from me as the Casita factory. So if they go the way of selling by RV dealer only then no advantage to be close to the factory.

Sidekicks at Quartzsite
This year at Quartzsite, Tom's Camperland* of Phoenix displayed a Sidekick.
* - Not Tom Young
Notice that the name "trillium" is a different font, and it is "trillium EDITION" but on the back it is "SIDEKICK by Great West." Also the text is silver instead of green.
Also notice the added black band below the seam, the oval porch/hitch lights, and lack of the trilllium logo on the gravel guard. Too is the plain black spare cover instead of the trillium + logo. There is no pocket on the door for maps, etc. See my profile page and trillium gallery for shots of Homelet.
I think it would be a shame if the name trillium disappears from the market. Of course Boler and Studebaker are gone, too.
As of today, Tom's Camperland has the information on a new 15' on their website. It is listed as sold, but they do have good photos of the rig. The trillium logo is embossed on the door and the left side and printed on the battery panel. However, they have switched to plain panel doors instead of the framed.
