Need help... Does anyone know what Dexter Axle was used in a Trillium 4500.. Mine has some off brand axle and needs replacing.. There's a local dealer that sells Dexter axle's but said he needed to know which one.. I'm pretty sure it takes a 2500lb axle but that's all I know, never changed out the axle before...........I'm going to repost this again in a lead off thread just in case no one looks at this one.........

The axle that I replaced on my first 4500 was a 2000 lb axle. If the trailer is 1700 lb, then 2000 lb seemed light to me. I put a 3500 lb axle on. I think it was too much capacity. A 3500 lb axle that is de-rated to 2500 lb seems like the next axle for me. I like the larger brakes that go on a 3500 lb axle. The 2000 lb axle had 7" brakes, vs. 10" brakes on the 3500 lb axle.

I told the welding shop to go with the #2500 axle but since I'm extending the frame and installing a aluminum tool box on the front might to go one step up....HUMMMMMM!! What to do!! What to do!!!!

Got back on the closet today and I think it turned out pretty good even though the closet was out of "wonk-cus"... I don't think they level or square anything when they put these together.. Got my FRP panels mounted in the closet but it was so out of square so bad the seam I had to do in the middle runs down hill but more than a 1/2" but I was able the get everything glued and mounted after a WHOLE lot of swear words......

Did you reuse the existing frame for the rock guard? I need to make a new one but the frame is damaged and am looking for suggestions on where to buy something to use. Also, what material did you use for the cover itself?

Yes I re-used the existing gravel guard... You can see where I have them parked.. That location is a new building I bought with 2 acres, I don't live there but the neighbor tries to watch everything for me..One of mine the gravel guard was in perfect condition but some idiot must have come by and wanted to look inside and instead of just opening the stupid front door which was "NOT" locked they tried to pry open the front gravel guard and look inside.. Well they ended up breaking both sides  .. I took it off and carried to my local welder and he was able to aluminum weld it back together and straighten it .. So you might try that can't hurt to just see if someone can fix it.. I really never thought they could fix it but they done a really good job on it...

Well I was up late last night sewing curtains.. Got them finished and installed today.. I do things a little different I don't like curtain rods they are always falling out of the brackets then needing replacing.. So I'm using bungee cords and since this one is "Red" theme I used red balls on the ends, I install hooks you can easily get at any hardware store, cut the bungee cords so they just fit when stretched all the way out and hang the curtains that way...

Also completed the front area with the small seat that converts to a table.. Needing the frame back so I can install the wood flooring, can't do it till I get the body bolted back on ..... The front area pictures..............

Trailer is now setup with a 12 volt on-demand water pump for the sinks and toilet using stored water, city water still setup the same with cutoff valve so it can't bleed back through to the holding tank... Since the hand pumps will no longer be used I used a hole saw and installed stainless steel cup holders where they were located.....

The gravel guard panels are FRP panels (Fiberglass Reinforce Panel) you can get at Lowe's or just about any hardware store.. They are mostly used on Commercial construction jobs in restrooms or kitchen area's I have several in several different colors left over from job's we done in past. They are bumpy on the finish side and smooth on the back, I sanded the back and painted them to match the camper. I'm a bad hoarder and hate throwing things away..
I know you can get the logo's from Tom but I wanted different colors and my decal guy is so cheap and fast, I can tell him what I want and he has it the next day... Did you see the decals he made me for the stove, I only wanted 2 in case I screwed one up but he made 6 and charged me 5 bucks I posted the extra ones here in case someone had a stove like mine I would send them out free if anyone need a couple... http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ove-76431.html
I've extended the frame on 2 others and really like having a place to put folding chairs, cook stove, lantern's and just stuff in the front box rather than putting it in the storage binds which in the back are a pain to get into..Since this one is going to be mine I had to do it....

Well I got back to some more items while waiting on the frame to be extended and the new axle to be installed.. Got my door spray foamed something I do on all of my Trilliums I think it makes the door stiffer and adds insulation.. I put a small clear hose on the spray can and feed it to the bottom of the door then spray about 1/2 the can moving it back and forth, I let that cure over night and keep repeating the process until I get it full.. Always use the foam for window cracks because it does not expand as much as the other stuff.... pictures of the door completed, wish I had pictures of the process but somehow they deleted from my camera....

This camper sat in my back yard for 2 years completely stripped.. no windows, furnace removed, all cushions removed and all the cabinet doors and any wood removed.. It sat there covered with 2 tarps until I got the chance to start working on it.. Bought a 30' x 30' building on 2 acres of land that I'm doing all my work in now so that makes things a lot easier.. But during the renovation and moving everything from my small shed a lot of things got misplaced.. I was sure I had already cleaned the furnace cover but the only one I could find was one in really bad shape, stripped it and sanded it and then of course just before I got finished found "TWO" covers I had already done and didn't even know I had 2.. One is larger than the other so for sure I've got the right one at least..

Next took the furnace totally apart because the pilot light wouldn't stay lit, found out the thermocouple was bad luckily had a extra one.. once that was changed out I got the furnace lit but it would only burn a very small flame so I tore it completely apart and painted it with heat resistance paint..
