Love Bug
by Fabricated products of Tripoli Iowa
Here’s the skinny. I have lowered the price being that I have had a lot of tire kickers and have become a beaten man.
Since the original post I have sanded, painted and sealed the tongue....exposed the serial # and clear coated it and also put a new jack on it..... but wait that’s not all. I will include 2 delux 12 v batteries that you could use to modify the current...(.no pun intended) system.
Swing on by and pick up your
Love Bug I need to move on to my Bambi.

brakes. 7 blade connector to vehicle.
Exterior
Pitted and could use a new clear coat. Some minor blemishes or screw holes, old taillights and door latch, (shown in Pictures) The door has the typical egg issue that I have not fully figured out but have managed to have it seal and shut. Has an outside lock and an inside dead bolt besides the original latch mechanism that seems to be a problemo on these. Lots of winter and rainy trips presented no leak problems. Faux wood floor Linoleum.
New skylight/vent. Roof has minor pits but no damage.
Awning mount is also attached.
Rear passenger window has 1 pane of glass that slides down but not out due to aluminum catch broken.
I have owned this for about 10 years and have pulled it nearly 50 k all over the western US handles very well behind my Volvo s80 6cyl and never has impeded traffic. Has gone through hundreds of miles of snowy roads packed and or not plowed and handles like a race car. I am very sad to sell and have hesitated for the last year but that only let me work out some minor issues. I can send you pics of anything you like. I’m hoping to be able to post about 20 here and several other sites. Delivery for a nonrefundable fee is a possibility as well. Why not one more trip in it. This trailer is a virgin and has never been named anything other than the
Love Bug so it’s got that going for it too.
No
scamp logo and pin striping being that it IS NOT A
SCAMP. It is a LOVE BUG but has it’s own ugliness that is extremely cute and always a conversation starter. I insist on pointing out as much as possible to buyers both good and bad as to not mislead anyone on this hidden gem.
