I have a 1978 13' Trillium. I have a floor plan with the dinette in the back and a gaucho/bunks in the front. She is yellow fiberglass throughout!! The VIN is 13-1106-210. Does anyone else have a yellow one???

Jane, if the picture in your avatar is your trailer, many people call that colonial white. Trillium made them in that, and green. They added orange, (almost yellow) for interior colours. I am going to call your serial number 13-1106210. Not sure about the additional hyphen in your version.
Please post some pictures of your Trillium. I see from your avatar that you have a kitchen window, (nice) probably a fridge?, but no furnace. You also seem to be missing your rock guard.

Colonial White can as it ages take on a bit of a yellowish tinge.

Hi, everyone. I took my 1978 Trillium to the DMV yesterday, since there was a lot of confusion with the registration. Long story short, they accepted the serial number as the VIN number. I showed them the piece of paper in my closet, plus a very small silver sticker under the black medallion mentioned previously....hard to tell what that sticker was for; it's almost all gone, but it did have that same number. My time at DMV wasn't that bad....two hours or so. I thought it would take all day. But I am so glad I brought the trailer with me!

Hi David. I am still learning my way around these pages so I hope I am posting this in the right place! My trailer is definitely quite yellow. Inside, the fiberglass is even MORE yellow (I believe the outside has oxidized). I was surprised to see this. The original fridge is long gone, but the last owners put a little dorm fridge in there, which I will try to work with, but my hope is someday to have something different. I do need to do something with the rock screen...not exactly sure what to do. I live in central California and it's hard to find good people to work on these little sweetheart trailers!! I do not have a heater but don't really need one...ditto for a bathroom. It does have some kind of battery/electric conversion thing which I will explore. I added some info to my profile to fill out the info a little bit. I will be asking for information about replacing the stabilizers and lots of other stuff, so am glad I found you all!!

Jane, as a Californian too, 2 hours at the DMV is just about record time. Ten years ago I started having a friend that has a registration service do all of it for me when I buy a new to me vehicle. As a dealer she doesn't run the gauntlet the rest of us have to do. At $40 a pop it's a deal for me as I live 70 miles from the nearest DMV. Your two hour visit is less time than just my round trip time. Anyway, congrats on getting it registered and enjoy it.

Jane, The fridge that goes in your Trillium is an RM211. They are easy to come by. Attached are some pictures. Note the Freezer, and the name plate on the front. These are super common. They were installed in many pop up campers. I have seen many of them for $100 or less.

Based on your SN, your trailer is also colonial white on the inside as well. This is what a colonial white on the outside, and yellow on the inside looks like:

Borrego Dave and David T, thank you so much for the help and good wishes! I am not sure how to replace the material in the rock guard. Would a piece of colored or clear Fiberglas work? And David, you are completely right about the color. I can see now why it's called Colonial White...but I love that it looks like a buttery yellow, especially on the inside. I will be posting pics very soon! Thanks too, for the info on the fridge. I am searching for one starting now! Hey Borrego Dave, do you live up that way (Anza)? Nice country!

Jane, is the frame of your rock guard intact? if so, I would just put in a piece of White lexan. You can get it at Home depot.

Hi Dave,
I just want to let you know that I have 1978 T4500 ser # 45-1121172 and despite your naming conventions table, my trailer has the front gaucho (turns into single bunk). I can't help you with the appliances as they were gone when I bought it and I installed later models borrowed from a tent trailer. I may be able to tell you what they were if that is important for your records? I have a fairly well preserved list on the closet door. My trailer came with brakes when I got it. Jorg, I would love it if you posted a picture of the data sheet on your closet door, as well as some pictures of the interior, and exterior of your trailer.

Yours is not the first front gaucho with a 112 in the serial number. Clearly, I have not figured out what that number means yet.

There are two data sheets. I have seen this before. I think the Trilliums sold in Quebec needed one in English and French.

Hi Dave,

sorry for the time it took to respond. My best suggestion is to contact Trillium directly. I talked to a man there last year in Texas or near there who was also at the Markham Factory in the 70's. He should be able to decipher the code if there is one. Mine was sold in Ontario Canada, so there may be a country code.

George, Just to confirm your serial number: 45-1131172.
I have discussed this with Tom Young. It was he who told me that the first two digits after the 45- indicate color. He was also not sure what the next digit was for.

Thank you. It looks like you are missing the front window. Also your fridge seems to have been replaced. Is that a drawer above your fridge?

I would love it if you could post some more interior shots.

Hi Dave,

the front window is not missing, stored in my garage because I don't want/like front windows on trailers, since they always end up leaking (in my experience). So I removed it and replaced it with 1/2 " marine plywood covered with a fibreglass sheet outside. I will send some of the pix when I get time. Just an FYI, the Fridge is not original and neither are any of the other appliances, cushions and curtains. They came out of a mid 90's tent trailer that was cheaper than buying new parts. The part above the fridge is just a temporary fix (sheet of arborite) until I decide to install a larger one. The Trilli was bare when I "rescued" it.
