Bigfoot wet bath

Hi. I recently purchased a 87 F20 5th wheel that I am remodeling. I have a question for anyone who has remodeled a bigfoot. Why is the bath so high off the floor? The entry into the bath is 16" off the floor. The bath is a one piece that sit upon plywood boxes. Any help would be greatly apperciated.

perhaps the black tank is on top of the floor and not hanging under.

Thanks for the input. The black tank is hung under the frame as is the grey tank. The problem is the location of the shower drain in relation to the grey tank hole in the floor. They have piped the drain line with a p-trap 3 foot over to the hole. After your input, I looked closer to the arragnment, and there is no way to lower the wet bath. Thanks again for your help.

obviously 10 years made a difference....

the wet bath in my 97 B17....is 6 and a half inches off the floor...might be the same wet bath but can't be sure (two pieces, horizontal seam)....sixteen inches in my trailer would be a deal killer...but in your fifth wheel they probaly started with more height to begin with....

if you're "remodeling"...I'm sure you could find a domed skylight to give you more clearance....WAY WAY simpler than what you originally proposed....heck, it would look like an "upgrade" even...good luck

You could use the shower drain/90 degree elbow/Hepvo horizontal waterless trap I used on my Boler for extra ground clearance. This should allow you to lower it somewhat. http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/s...ad.php?t=68675

Bigfoot wet bath

Thanks for the input. My bath is a one piece, and the door opening is 14" off the floor. I thought about using the hepvo trap, but that only gets me 4". So it is something we will have to live with. Thanks
