Most any local or internet RV supplier has this item. While my local RV store does not stock it they can usually get it trucked into their store in 1 to 3 days out of the regional RV supply warehouse. Saves on shipping cost as long pieces cost a lot to have delivered to your home.

Is it a new one that you are wanting? I have one that I took off my trailer. It is dirty and was painted but with some work it should be okay. PM me if you are interested.

The "C" channel is called Keder Rail.

I find that some websites like Vintage Trailer Supply and Camping World don't recognize "keder rail" in their search function, but they will show results doing a search for "awning rail". I bought mine from VTS because they will ship it in a piece of PVC pipe, which guarantees no shipping damage.

Found C Channel

Just wanted to thank everybody for your ideas and help. We found one literally right under our noses. It's vintage...great shape.... A friend of my Hubby's had one that he had taken off his parent's 1970 trailer!

Wow thanks for quick reply. Can it be fastened with glue. Would rather not rivet into the fg

it could be fastened with glue, but would likely not hold up to the stress put on it by the awning. possibly fiber-glassing it in place would work, but that's a big job.

I have never trusted adhesives, especially that VHB tape, to hold anything worth a crap. I installed my Keder awning rail with 1/4" X 20 stainless steel machine screws with fender washers and Nylock nuts on the inside. They are on 1 foot centers except for the last one which is only 6" on center. This Keder rail isn't going anywhere. I have also never had any problem with cutting and drilling holes and cut-outs in fiberglass.
