Ensolite (elephant skin) joint replacement

Hi everyone

The joint along the middle of the ceiling that snaps into the ensolite needed to be removed from our trailer as it had shifted and looked awful. Is there anywhere I can find replacement, or should I just use a flexible caulking. I am located in Ontario.

Why not move the piece you have and reattach the t molding?

The ensolite is in good shape, the T moulding was not.

I used caulking and when it was slightly on the dry side blended it in to look like the elephant skin around it................blended in perfect........but I also peeled some off from under the bed where it did not show and used it

Agree. Calking works very well.
I used Ivory latex. Filled the joints then dabbed with a cloth after it had started to dry.

So upon further research apparently this molding can be "boiled" back to it's original form and re used! Yay!

Video How To Caulk and Paint Ensolite Seams

We tried boiling and reinstalling - didn't work. Then we did this:

OK, after years of shooting 8mm and Super 8mm movie film, VHS and Hi8 videotape, and now digital video, I have finally taken the plunge and created my first ever How-To video for You Tube - How to Caulk and Paint Ensolite Seams in Vintage Fiberglass RV's!
It's a little on the long side, so feel free to fast forward through the slow bits.
Find it at https://studio.youtube.com/video/4rK.../edit/advanced.
If anyone has any suggestions for more how-to's, or any other subject for You Tube videos, please let me know. I have a couple of ideas, but they may take some time. Next one up will likely be Winterzing a 1978 Trillium Travel Trailer.
