Ventura VIN placement - HELP

Just bought a little Ventura, but I can't find the VIN or year. The plate on the side is so worn you can't read it and I've checked the tongue thoroughly and it's not there. The inside was totally ripped out, so no luck in there. Is there a Ventura owner who can help me out?

hi Donna, I think mine was stamped on the top of the frame rail by the propane tank location on the street side (drivers side). It may have had a lot of paint covering it so sandpaper will probably be required. I think mine was only about 6 digits long. Can you read any numbers stamped into the side plate (should be 4 sets of numbers, the vin will be the top left
set. Maybe try doing a pencil rubbing with some light paper to see if it shows up anything

did you get a bill of sale? what did it have for vin info? You could buy a number stamp set and stamp the vin numbers from the bill of sale onto the frame rail. Princess Auto sells them for about $10.

A VIN number is unique to each vehicle, no one tell you the exact number that was assigned to it. But not to worry that does not mean a dead end. You are not the first to have lost a VIN so the governing bodies everywhere have all established ways of assigning and attaching replacement VIN numbers.

Contact the Ministry of Transportation in your area or search on their website for information on the procedure to follow for obtaining a replacement VIN.
