Bigfoot 17.5 bathroom modification ideas?

We have a 2005 Bigfoot 175g with rear bath and don't use the wet bath only the toilet. That seat for the shower is always in the way ! Just wondering if anyone has seen the bath modified to remove the shower or just modify it to remove the seat? I am handicapped with a fused ankle and getting a knee replacement soon I really need the room if possible. I was hoping someone had some ideas or had done anything similar ? Thanks

re: bathroom mods

I believe it would be tough to remove the seat, drop it to the floor and still have a finished look that would not hurt the re resale value. The RV would most likely have some wiring or water lines that would need rerouting as well. Possibly if you build a sturdy full shower pan step up that may make the access easier with some added height, or as a temporary solution add a portapotty in the trailer till your knee heals up, you also have the advantage of moving it outside to a private area if needed. It is great your still planning to get out and enjoy the outdoors, this should also help with the rehab and getting your mobility back. These washrooms are tight and challenging at the best of times, however don't let me hold you back be sure to post any mods or upgrades.

Thank you. I hadn't considered the water lines running under that seat!

If you open the access door on the drivers side at the rear that is your pump etc it is all under that shower seat area. I had a 17g and have a fused right knee can't get that foot in the door when seated, I put my foot in isle and pull the shower curtain. The port a potty is a good idea too.
