SOLD 1988 17' Bigfoot Gaucho $8,000 Can

This unit is in great original condition. Sleeps 5-6. Bathroom has shower, sink and toilet. Four burner stove with oven, furnace, hot water heater, roof a/c, 2 - 20lb propane tanks, 3 way fridge with freezer compartment. Inverter, display panel for all tank levels. A microwave and radio/DVD player with remote control have been added. All original manuals from factory for components are included. This unit is located in SW New Brunswick near the US Border to Calais, Maine. Photos by request. I had trouble getting them to upload to the Classified Ads.

Bigfoot

I'm down in Massachusetts and looking for a trailer. I wonder if you can send me pictures and I'm wondering if there are problems with buying a trailer in Canada that's going to the US? My email is prask@aol.com
Thanks,
Paul

child's bed...

that thing is/was standard in all the BFs 17s I ever come across...

it's kind of a stretch to call a 41 inch wide bed a "double"....but that's marketing for you....my BF has two of those.....so that's four people...the child upstairs makes five....where's number sleep....in the bathroom????

I think you'll find that in 99% of BFs that childs bed is turned into storage....it is in mine....partitions and doors turned upside down

Hi: The dinette bed is 41" wide and 6' 4" long. The side bed is 43" wide x 6' 4" long. The upper bunk over the side bed is 42" wide x 6' 4" long. This bed folds up to form a storage area when not needed for a bed. Access to bathroom is still available when upper bed is in use.
We have friends in our old car club who have imported vehicles from the US to Canada without too much trouble. You'd be best to check US Customs website for the regulations. I think the main thing is proof of purchase and registration. They have to be careful of stolen items crossing the border. I hope this helps. These early units were built in Armstrong, British Columbia. The tongue weight is 265 lbs. Gross vehicle weight is 2884 lbs. If you want anymore info just ask.
Cheers, Barb
P.S. I noticed this morning that someone has posted photos of an upper bunk. His trailer has a curve in the ceiling, our ceiling is flat. The bunk in ours has a straight edge, so is 42" wide from end to end. Barb

Aslong as the trailer is over 25 years old it's fairly easy to import. Here's a link with lots of info on that topic:

Our Trillium was sold in June this year precisely to someone from Massachusetts. The person followed the instructions in the following links and everything went well.

Importing Travel Trailer to United States | Fiberglass RV's For Sale

On the main page you will find a Fiberglass'Rv ckecklist in the left column of this, identifying the checks to do when visiting the future new acquisition.

barb and bob and the curve....

I posted the upper bunk pictures....in a 97 CB model (versus your G for gaucho model)....in the CB model the upper bunk is at the front and is east west (as opposed to north south like yours).......hence the curve you mention

still looking for where that sixth person sleeps....the specs say the upper bunk capacity should not exceed 100lbs
