Trailer: Trails West Campster 1970

I have a 1970 Trails West Campster for sale immediately. It is in basically good condition with no faults except age! There are some modifications. First, the U-axle has been rotated so that it sits higher and doesn't drag the rear end. Second, the tongue has been extended so that it backs much easier and there is a bit of room for carrying things between the hitch and the body of the trailer, e.g. it will accomodate 2 propane tanks and an outboard motor and could be mofidied to hold a bicycle carrier or two. Third, it is equipped with a solar panel to charge the battery continuously. Forth, it has heavy duty pickup tires (Wrangler) and new cast iron hubs rather than the pressed steel hubs that are original equipment. Fifth, the original cloth on the pop-up portion has been replaced with a yellow waterproof material like raincoats are made of and the screens are fastened with velcro strips so that they can be removed for cleaning or repair.

If you are interested, I'd be happy to talk with you - I'm at 541-278-1252 in Pendleton, Oregon, which is over in the northeast section of the state.

Price?? Let's start at $2,000 and talk about it.

Best - Andrew

Donna,
Thanks for pointing out the pics in the album. Although I realize it is not the same trailer being sold, being able to see what one looks like and how it is laid out was quite helpful while talking to Andrew about the trailer on the phone. It sounds like he has put in some innovative modifications!

Andrew sent me a couple of pictures - I resized them so everyone can see how nice his egg is... (hopefully I've attached them correctly)

Thanks, Carol for posting those pics. I asked Andrew for the pics yesterday and he sent about 25. I have tried so hard to make it work for me because it looks like it is in great shape. Unfortunately, I think it is just a bit small for my needs.
I just called and told the seller I wouldn't take it. Anyone looking for a small trailer should see this one. He has lots of pics to share. He even took pics inside the storage areas and in the corners. Ask for whatever area you may have as a concern.

Good luck, Andrew, with your sale. She's a beauty and someone should be using and enjoying her!

I'm most likely the closest forum member to Pendleton. If I can be of assistance to anyone, jut let me know.

This sure looks nice! Too bad I have two fg's already!

Hi, Folks -

The Trails West Campster is sold and no longer available.

I can't figure out how to remove the advertisement so am writing this message instead.

Many thanks and it has been fun to be involved with this very nice web site.

Best regards - Andrew
