SOLD: 2014 Escape 21 (Toto)

For SALE in Western Washington, USA
2014 Escape 21 Classic “Toto”
$29,500 USD available for adoption NOW

See pictures at Okay, this is really difficult. | Follow Toto

In excellent shape, well-maintained with lots of options and some nice owner upgrades. Hatched in October, 2014… this is the “classic” style with the aircraft-style entry door and extra-good juju. About 18,000 miles of memories for two human beings and two Cairn terriers. Waxed twice a year, stored outside in the Pacific Northwest, lovingly maintained and obsessed-upon in a little-known blog. Very recent (routine) wheel bearing re-pack and brake adjustment.

On the outside:
--------------------
Battleship Gray graphics
Battleship Gray molding on belly band (to match the graphics)
Front storage box
4 stainless wheels (I added stainless steel lug nuts)
Outdoor shower
Omni-directional antenna for use with any cellphone booster
Extra insulation + dual-pane windows
Spray foam insulation under trailer
Detachable power cord
Extra LED exterior light on driver side (handy for playing with hookups in the dark)
Additional opening dual-pane window in bath
Exterior 12-volt outlet
Power tongue jack
160-watt solar panel
Carefree of Arizona manual awning that will never retract or extend without your express permission
Sand pads on stabilizers
Bike rack-ready

Power and appliances:
------------------------------
Go-power solar controller
Progressive surge protector and EMS
Air conditioner
Digital thermostat
Microwave oven
2-way water heater
Stainless sink and range hood
Stainless, 3-burner stove & cover
Two 6-volt batteries in series (extra amp-hours over the standard battery)
All LED lighting
LED Captain’s reading Lamps (2) in dinette
Two switches just inside entry door for controlling outside light fixtures
Extra 12-volt outlets, inside and outside trailer
Extra 120-volt outlet near bed
Wilson Electronics (now branded WeBoost) cradle-style cellphone booster (removable if you don’t want it)
TV-ready option from factory

Other indoor options and upgrades:
----------------------------
U-shaped dinette
Gas-filled table pedestal in dinette, custom (matching) smaller table and filler board and cushion for “lounge” setup
(Original table top remains, and can be placed atop the smaller top when a larger table is wanted; we store it under the bed mattress)
Custom-made extra throw pillows and pillow shams in Sunbrella Blox Slate
Custom countertops: Mineral Jet
Custom Sunbrella fabric in two coordinating patterns: Rib Taupe/Ivory (cushions) and Blox Slate (window cornices)
Extra door to under-bed storage
Shutoff valve for toilet plumbing
Fold-up tables (two) in dinette and fold-up counter extension next to kitchen sink
Storage cubbies between bath door and entry door

Owner upgrades:
-----------------------
Single-lever brushed stainless kitchen faucet
36-inch-long drawer under bed

24” Samsung LED TV (runs on 12 volts) in dinette, with articulating mount and safety straps for travel
Sony Blu-Ray player (runs on 12 volts, hard-wired into trailer, includes all popular streaming apps)

Quick-dry fabric shower curtain in bath
Command Hooks, towel rack in bath (all removable if you don’t want ‘em)
Custom-cut traction grid for bath floor, in an appealing taupe
Upgraded shower head and hose (Oxygenics)

Luxurious paper towel dispenser
LED light fixture above dresser
Tasteful Umbra hooks for coats, hats
HyperVent moisture barrier under bed
Pure botanical latex 2” topper for bed
LED light installed in range hood
LED puck lights in under-bed storage area and in wardrobe
Brand new storage cover for trailer (brand)

I love it! Oh my, Cheryl would have a fit if I said I wanted a new trailer.
That's a whole nother story. My TV is rated to pull 5K lbs V6, AWD Highlander. Looks like your TV is beeffier?
I lived in Seattle many years ago, are you ferry bound?

I bet she sells fast. We leave for a month in less than 2 weeks, I will try to keep track of Toto's progress.

We have pulled Toto for 3.5 years with a 2014 Nissan Frontier V6 4X4, rated at 6100 lb. towing capacity. I have known people to pull Escape 21s with Highlanders, but most have, as you say, beefier TVs.

Mark, I don't know if you've checked out the Escape forum but there's been plenty of discussions re towing Escapes with Highlanders.

we towed our escape 21 home from Dallas to Santa Cruz with a Tacoma 4x4 and decided to get a beefier truck. the tacoma is a RWD live axle classic rail frame truck, while the Highlander is a beefed up FWD car with unibody. Taco is rated to tow 6500 lbs max but with its 1200 lb payload, the 4000 lbs of the nearly empty escape was about as much as I'd want to tow with it. mostly it was the miles per gas tank that were really awful, the new rig is a diesel with a 38 gallon tank, so should go 500 miles+ per tank even under awful mileage and likely will do 600+.
