The last time we checked the park has not been flooded from all the rain we are getting and should be in good shape for the rally.

Here is the information on Thursday's meal...

“This Ain’t No Store Bought Dinner” Catered meal by Chef Michael

Choice of Entrée: Grilled Chicken or Smoked Beef Brisket

Vegetables: Roasted Fresh Garden Vegetables

Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Slow Cooked Southern Style Green Beans

Bread: Croissants

Dessert: Fresh Made Key Lime Tart

Choice of Drinks: Tea, Coffee or Water


The cost of the catered meal is ten dollars per person.

Please let us know your choice of Entrée.

We are up to 26 trailers!

The park has guaranteed 25 sites and will let us double up to accommodate additional trailers. Your hosts are going to triple up on a long site giving us 24 single sites which leaves us with two, oops phone call another one signed up, with only one single site left and more people interested in coming. If you are willing to double up let us know and better yet if you have someone you want to double up with let us know who you are doubling with.

The park hopes to have additional sites ready for the rally and we may have not have to double but we are trying to be prepared. The pull through sites are long and there is plenty of room for two with water and electric.

Wonderful news...We are at 29 trailers! Unfortunately it means that we have run out of single sites. If you are willing to double up with someone, we have a few spots left. We are sorry for the inconvenience of sharing a site but we are thankful for all the responses and for those volunteering to share a site. The RV Camp hopes to have additional sites ready in time for the rally and if they become available we will let you know.

Also, I want to thank Brad and Beverly for sharing their experiences with coordinating the Bluebonnet with us. They have really helped the rally get started and help the rookies stumble along the way. As we say in Arkansas, “They are good folk.”

Thanks for the support and ideas that you all have shared to help make it happen.

The response to the rally has been fantastic and we are excited to offer an improved rally logo. The cost is still $5. Thank you Sew What! The tricky part is getting it onto your shirt and we have come up with three ways to help make it happen. It takes about 30 minutes to embroider the new logo onto a shirt so with that in mind we have come up with some options:

1. Mail your shirt prior to the rally…the sooner the better…and you can wear it at the rally. Mail your choice of thread color for the lettering , your shirt and who it is for to:

2. Ten shirts are being made available to reserve online for pick up at the rally. They are red polo shirts and cost $20. We have 10 shirts available: 2 XXL, 6 XL and 2 Large polo shirts.
To reserve one Email ktbarranch@yahoo.com with your name and size selection.

3. Bring your shirt to the rally. It will be a first come first served and at 30 minutes per logo we cannot promise every shirt will be ready to wear and it may have to be mailed to you. Postage for one shirt (priority mail) is $4.60 and two shirts is $8.95. We will have priority mail mailers available at the rally.

All options are pay at the rally...Check out the new logo!

We are officially full. 36 Trailers, 68 good folks, several dogs and maybe some other critters are all converging for a great time in the River Valley. We have doubled and tripled until there is no room at the inn…at least right now. If you want to make a last minute trip to the rally you will need to contact Park Ridge RV Park at 479-410-4678 and see if they have an opening. If you are able to get a spot then let us know and we will add you to the list.

Also, Geary of Haltom City, TX has volunteered to do a Dutch oven demonstration that we will be adding to the agenda. Thanks, Geary!

Well we are just a couple of weeks away from the first annual River Valley Egg Rally (RVER). We are excited to have all 36 trailers , with a total of 68 people who will be attending the rally.

As we have posted, the camp grounds may have a few more sites open up
closer to the start of the rally.

Also Herschel Bowers is in the process of finding additional sites at other parks that are close. Van Buren is not a large town any sites at other parks will be within 5 minutes or less to PARK RIDGE. That way all the attendees will be able to enjoy all the events they are inclined to attend.

RVER IS GOING TO BE AWSOME

We have our very own website thanks to Thomas. Herschel has been busy finding door prizes and getting local attraction information. My lovely wife Pat is working hard on embroidering the shirts that have been brought in or mailed to us. I am looking forward to the catered dinner on Thursday. The plans for it are falling into place. Katy is doing some fantastic hand painting and crafting for RVER, she is quite talented. And lets not forget Darlene . Her primary job is to keep Herschel in line, she is succeeding even though it’s a full time job.

Time for one more update! I have updated the website with more "Things to Do" and we are looking forward to meeting everyone in just a few days. We hope to get by this weekend to meet and greet our first arrivals, Keith and Beverly and welcome them back to the River Valley.
