Congratulations Huck!
I think Cameron must have been a little confused. The furnace will work without external electrical hook-up. The blower and ignition will work off the battery and the furnace fuel is propane. The microwave and 120v outlets will require either shore power or a generator.

BL, I am with you on this one, because normally I kinda understand electrical! But I think the "toilet" running without hookups threw me off!
Congrats Huck! Enjoy!

I believe the fan on the blower pulls 2.7 amps an hour and will quickly deplete batteries. I learned that my first weekend and when the voltage drops low enough the furnace will shut off. Figure with the two 55 amp batteries you have 55 useable amps... so about 20 hours of heat. If boondocking generators are your friend...or a big solar array.

Parkliner ordered
Robin G. I am trying to get educated or at least remain teachable. It sounds silly and even old-school but I have pen and paper in hand and have gone back searching numerous threads and posts regarding electrical info. I really appreciate how generous people are with sharing there knowledge. It is one thing to learn about it and another thing to actually understand it.

I must be prudent with furnace use as I have gotten away with 3 days or more running it off a group 27 battery and only as needed- set the temp very low during the night or turn it right off and only use to heat the trailer up just before bedtime and again in the morning to take the chill off the trailer.

It truly isn't that complex when it comes to our glass trailers. Just know you can't run a small city off 30 amps and you will be ok! That is most rv'ers problem! You will be fine! Don't worry.......

Yup your stated use would fall under "prudent" : )
Of course Cari & I are rebels and don't use heat at all during the evenings,
makes snuggling sort of a-non-optional option ; )

Well if Cari ever gives you the cold shoulder hot water bottles are great foot warmers as well.

That is why I went with the golf cart batteries, 110 ah. Of course they are not AGM so you have to put them outside.

Even the AGM's need to be vented to the outside, or be outside. This is one of the issues all of the ParkLiner owners till I guess this month are experiencing.

Hello everyone this is Aaron from Parkliner and I would like to clarify on the shore power hook up. The furnace will work with without shore power it is a gas appliance. The A/C , Microwave, and 110v outlets will NOT work with out shore power. The fridge and water heater does not require shore power either. Sorry for any confusion.

Not all ParkLiner owners are haveing this Battery issue. But the batteries have been moved outside. If the blue top batteries are run all the way dead and charged to fast they will over heat. I know because I did it to one sitting outside hooked up to a charger

Working on it but we have stopped installing Optima batteries because of all the charging issues with them. But I will post with weight change as soon as it is set in stone.

Thanks Aaron....I might have to pull mine out and sit them up front just to check it. It probably is a better plan with them up front on the tongue...I might need to add more weight out back to balance it. My Rav4 has a max tongue weight of 350lbs. Don't want to overload it lol

Aaron, if ParkLiner is not installing Optima batteries anymore, what are you using now?
Thanks!
Frank
