1986 Scamp 5th wheel vent

Hello and thank you in advance for any help I may get.

I have 2 escape hatches, and one I'm replacing with a bigger one, the other just needs the lid. It measures 23 1/16 x 16 1/16 It's a Jensen Astro exit vent. I'm finding replacements but they say 23x16. My question is after I put the gasket on it it's even bigger than 23 1/16 - so is this the right lid or will it be way to tight? A kind member of this forum mailed me the bigger replacement for the other vent which was totally destroyed.

I don't want to have issues or ?? I'd rather buy a whole new vent (bigger) if that will be the case. I need to use it and have it ready to roll in 4 weeks.

Welcome Lisa. Just give Scamp a call and they can set you in the right direction. However, their shipping is high so be sure to order other things you need at the same time. I made this mistake as others have also.
