Nothing to say

http://youtu.be/fEnBYTI8TE8
After looking over my wife's shoulder as she skimmed through Facebook I realized never have so many had so much to say about so little! It made me think about the attached. Hope you enjoy it and yes I do see the irony

Free thinking icon Betty White, upon being shown all the capabilities and features of facebook, commented, (I praraphrase, but think of it in her voice)
"Such an amazing and total waste of time" LOL

Me thinks that pretty much summarizes it.....

I happen to like Facebook. I can stay connected with friends and family from all over the US and beyond. Plus I belong to eight all-molded-towable pages and learn as much or more about the build type there as I do here.

I'm also a grandmother. Because of Facebook I get to see pictures of my granddaughter posted by her other grandmother.

Maybe it's not Facebook, but your friends and family that are boring...

Donna, I couldn't agree with you more!
FYI,my post was not an indictment against Facebook. It was, with tongue firmly planted in cheek, a statement towards all those FarmVille type game updates as an example that some feel we are dying to see.

I agree Donna, it is a great connection to our families, particularly to the younger members. Like all forms of media there are things to like and dislike. I try to block the latter.

We have become more concentrated viewers of TV by dismissing cable and adding viewing that we is selectable content at a time of our choosing. In a sense I feel we are moving to becoming in charge of the content.

Facebook, like Twitter and Yammer and all the other Social Media have a place. I feel fortunate to connect with people that I've known for years. I absolutely love getting pictures of my granddaughter, received a terrific one this morning for Mother's Day.

I am sooo very fortunate to have this technology available to me. My own grandparents only had a once-a-year school picture and maybe 2-3 others throughout the year. And a long distance phone call? Forget it, too expensive at the time.

Make technology work for you. You don't have to do what it wants to do, or anyone else for that matter... and I've never posted a picture of food. Except maybe the potlucks at a NOG and then it's about the people!

I Agee with Donna, but lately FB has been flooded with non-friend postings; groups I've never heard of. These postings offer a tease to get you to open one, two, three pages which turn out to be a perfect waste of time! Has anyone else noticed this?

I see the kids and the grandkids regularly, so FB seems redundant to me. My wife likes it, though.
