Casita Additions-Mud Flaps

Purchased a semi-truck mud flap at auto part store. Cut to size. Then cut 3/16 aluminum angle to length. Installed the flap between the angle just behind the tire and the aluminum strip. Added a reflector. Not sure of proper length but will see how this works.Click image for larger version

Soooo...you drilled holes in your floor to attach mudflaps?

Been discussing with Paul how on earth we'd attach mud flaps--which we do realize we kinda need...THANKS! Excellent ideas!

Thanks for the additional pics John. After I saw your initial post I went outside to take a look and figured out how you had done that mod.

I am trying to decide if I want to do it. Why do this? I don't see any chips or dings in my fiberglass, so it does not appear that rocks are being thrown hard enough to do any damage.

Did you put these on to protect or for looks?

Looks good by the way. I especially like the reflector you put on.

Protection

Placed the flaps to help protect and prevent debris from accumulating on the trailer. Easier to clean.

I liked the reflector, too. One trip we could see how much mud flaps would've spared Peanut's rear end, though most trips it's about the same all over. Our car doesn't have mud flaps, either, which we hadn't thought about. I remember our first new car, we made a lot of effort to install mud flaps. And now it takes your thread here to get me to think about it at all.

BEST
Kai
