Yes, I am trying to find out more about this trailer. He doesn't seem to have any pictures of the front, outside or inside. Has anyone seen it?
He says it doesn't have a stove or water tank., and weighs about 1800 lb.
Weight is an issue with me, as I only have a 3 liter, so I am trying to find out if that is about right?

I haven't weighed my Amerigo but I would say that 1800 lbs is pretty close. If you really want a stove, you can have mine when I pull it.

Penny, 1800 pounds is probably close, but the only way to really know is to take it down and have it weighted.

I would question a little as he says granite counter tops, that would put a lot of extra weight.

You say you have a 3 liter, What type, tow cap, etc............................... More info we could probably help you better.

Hi Robin, I was hoping that they are not real granite!! Just Formica.
I have a 3 liter 97 Aerostar minivan, (rear wheel drive), with a small 3500 lb receiver hitch, but I think the van's towing limit is 3000 lb, but I don't want to stress it anyway.
I think I need to look for a lighter trailer, or I would be towing it with my 1-ton B+!!
He did send me some more pictures, if anyone is interested, but I did have to run them through Picasa to lighten them, to see more detail:

I don't suppose it even has a propane tank, or holder, so I would have to run the HD copper lines, too.
But I will consider your offer should I buy it. Thank you. Penny, TX

The seller use's the word granite, so I would assume that the word formica would have been used if it was formica. But who knows.

With a 3000 tow cap, yeah you would be pushing it, by the time you loaded the camping gear, then if you have occupants in the mini van you might even being lowering your tow cap cause some tow caps are based on 1 person in the vehicle so for every occupant it takes the tow cap down. You have to verify that with your model, year, etc. Check your owners manual. Lot's of people tow with a mini van so it's about finding the right set up for your mini van. How many people will be camping in your trailer? Adults/kids/fur baby's? Good Luck!

I decided it is not for me.
It just isn't really equipped the way I would like.
There is just me and a cat, but it would still be pushing it.
I would really rather have a small fiberglass motor home, but they are scarce around here.

Well just you and a Cat, you have more options then . '

Often times people with a family want to buy a ''glass" trailer but are restricted because of tow capacity. What they need size wise and what they can tow are usually two different things. You actually could probably find just the right one, with a little searching.

The sink is an undermount. Better be granite and not formica or it'll be shot in no time. VERY pretty - but heavy indeed.

Trailer appears to me to be a gut & rebuild. The kitchen area is totally changed, as is the storage/fridge tower normally on the road-side. It's also missing the usual front curbside storage area/privacy room. Overhead storage bins look to be redone as well.

Might not be everybody's cup of tea - but looks to my eye to have been very well done. Guy's likely taking a bath on the thing selling at $2500.

Penny,
Did you actually get to see it in person? Is it as nice inside as it looks?

No, Pamela, I didn't see it. It is a long way from me, and not really what I need.
