Let us know what they say. We may be listing a few vintage Uhaul US map puzzles.

Follow Up

I finally got around to pulling the overlay tape off my UHaul decals today. A gentle heat gun application and careful pulling did the job easily.

I don't know if Rec Vee World is associated with UHaul or if these decals were added by someone else. The rear UHaul lettering (white block letters) was pulled off rather than covered. I may have some made at a sign shop.

Before and after pics.

Original

Awesome original decals!

Rec Vee was the subsidiary UHaul Division that
actually built the trailers so you have uncovered originality!

I hope the hairdryer trick works on mine as they are covered as well...

You may have to make your own, Thomas. You might run into copyright issues elsewhere. On the other hand, worth a try.

Nice-looking rig.

It is easy to get vinyl letters made - I just can't find the exact font that UHaul uses - but Ariel Bold is pretty darn close.

My DW was puzzled by my uncovering of the UHaul decals. I tried to explain the historical relevance.............maybe its a guy thing.

Yeah Tom, the first U is wider than the second U. Pretty common for logos to start as a common font and then be tweaked to make it a company's own. Round dots over i's become squares, cut the serifs off a serif font, etc. I use Fontographer. It's fun!
