What an amazing find! I thought these sorts of stories were more legend than fact.
And I wouldn't molest this time capsule with any modifications or customizing. We're going with the 70s flow with our Ventura buy furnishing it with period contents, e.g., Corningware coffee perc, etc. Too bad that the floor was redone with laminate, but I'm tempted to pull it up to see if the original vinyl is in reasonable condition.
You shouldn't have to worry about the orangey plaid seat covers for a long time. I've seen photos of well used and abused Venturas with the upholstery intact. Our covers our still like new - but we replaced the foam. They're some tough fabric, for sure.
Are you going to fill out the warranty card and mail it in?

Can anyone confirm this? All of the manuals i have dont speak to my question.

Glenn I see in addition to the fridge you also have a 12 volt furnace so the trailer must have had a battery on it at some point. It not uncommon for people to take the battery off the trailer when it goes to storage.... so you are probable just need to find where the connection was located - under a seat? or on the front tongue behind the propane tank?

OMG.................... Is right! Wowser, someone hid that away and preserved it in perfect condition! You really did score! I am not a fiberglass purest. I personally don't think you have to keep it original, but dang that is so nice looking you just might want to.
Thanks for posting pic's! Beautiful....... Enjoy!

Where in Sk are you?

I'm in Regina, I don't think this type of trailer came with a factory battery as I looked around everywhere and there is no indication it had one. I think I will just hook up a battery with an inverter, not sure how to do it though.

I really wouldn't worry about an inverter unless your using 110v stuff like coffee makers. If you have a 7 pin trailer plug , it will supply 12v for charging the battery while you drive. If you change out the light bulbs with led(yes you can keep the same fixtures) you will use very little 12v power. If you are using 110ac at a powered campsite, you could hook up a simple trickle battery charger and wire it into the 12volt line to top up the battery or add a solar panel(there is a 110vac outlet in the fridge compartment.
The main thing is think light, everything you put into one of these animals adds up on the weight. I tow with a Subaru outback.

Keep the cool flooring, I like. It looks like you shouldn't have much restoring to do, wow, what great condition. Congrats on the great find.

Glenn, what's the model on the fridge? If you don't see it listed here, it would be great if you could add it to the Document Center!

Glenn I was wondering if yours has the clips to hold the black pot supports on the stove, if you do could you take a picture of yours as mine are missing and I could probably make some if I knew what they look like. Just redid the counter top and table top, now for 12v wiring and shes all done....for now
