I bought Greenball tires from Costco. I think they were 185 width.

I bought Carlisle ST185/80D13 tires. That was one of the first things I did was replace the tires, they may have been originals.

I am thinking mine were the originals. I was so excited to camp when I bought my camper that we put 700 miles on it. Whew was I lucky cause those old tires are beat. I am really happy I didn't have a blow out!

My spare was an original - it even had UHaul molded into the sidewall.

Mine too, it has never been on the road, looks brand new, with no cracks and has the original molding 'whiskers' on it. At 27years old I imagine it will most likely come apart from any sustained highway use...
UHaul 650/13ST made by Goodyear in Peru!

(although old bias is way better than old radials but still very unsafe)

Bob, as Tom suggested there is a silver lining! I dont have jalousie windows on my Scamp and thats a problem in the rain. Had to buy and add Window/Maxx to the side windows so I could open a window in the rain. Adding them was one of the hards mods I have done to the trailer - a real pain to get them to fit correctly - took way to long to do as a result of having to walk away in frustration more than once!

This is what I just told Joel who is trying to install a new piece of plexiglass in his Cloud 13. Sometimes you have to walk away, think about the task, and come back to it later hoping it fixed itself, which of course it didn't, but sometimes a fresh start works. Because we hadn't fixed all the leaks on our Uhaul for previous camping trips, we took the easy way out and put a canopy over it. We could open any window as long as it wasn't a wind driven rain. I think I have resolved the leak problems now, should know in a few days when the next storm gets here. Keeping my fingers crossed, we head south in 2 weeks!

Going to look sharp!

Mr.Benjamin,
I have seen a CT in a similar color combo and it really looked fantastic with the black frame, rear bumper and red wheels but yours are more the UHaul orange and quality powder coated!!! Some pics when installed please.. (from one who is terrible about posting pics)

One of the least expensive modifications that an individual can do that makes THEIR trailer stand out is to paint the frame and wheels something other than the "standard." Color match to the tug... fairly cheap and totally cool! Easily changed too.

Love those wheels Benjamin!

With new tires, sand blasting , powder coat and trim prices it has cost a bit more than I wanted. Next pics should be of the new cushions!

Loving your UHaul Orange ... We are fans of using orange too. We have modified our UHaul to make user friendly to us, rather than restoring to original, which we started out to do...now, we are just sort of retro fun.

Ms. Jane and Mr. Greg,

I can testify how great your rig looks from the time I checked it out at the Cherokee Rally, defintely ultra glamped!

Also, many thanks for those neat bear curtains Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus!!! They are a much welcomed improvement and remind me of my beloved Smoky Bear chow chow dog who has passed away!

The weather is great and I have been busy. I removed my furnace permanently today. What a pita to remove. It will never be heading back in. I started building the interior of the closet today while the wife removed the stickers over the uhaul stickers. It looks decent. Good enough for now. The freshly powder coated wheels are also back on. It was getting to late for pics. We also dropped off the front sofa cushion to the upholstery place here in kalamazoo. Few more afternoons of work and we will be camping!!!!
