Give us a report on Skidaway, never been there. We have been to the campground on Tybee because it was convenient to get into Savannah, Uncle Bubba's restaurant on the way in, and Paula's in Savannah. We have a rope doormat made from old fishing line that we got in Maine, another from Camping World, a patio mat from ebay, a laundry bag we found at Goodwill, and a 5" foam mattress, not memory. Current project is installing at least one Casita captains chair in the front. We'll be about 90 miles south of Savannah for the winter.

bed memory foam info, that might find it's way to my CT... Here is a link to the

We did a drive thru on Skidaway & that made us want to go. I'll give you a report when we return. There are pictures of the mattress on my registry. I was really nervous to cut it, but since once you take it out of the box, its non returnable, we had nothing to lose. BTW the KOA was outstanding, beautiful grounds, friendly folks, spotless bathrooms, pool area. They didn't have grills at the sites, but picnic tables were nice. We had quite a few "Hey, didn't know U-Haul rented those." and a few "OMG, it's soooo cute" We told people we were "empty nesters in our our egg" was "double FOLK egg" or our "rolling bed & breakfast', not much room for much else.

From what we've heard about memory foam we decided it's not for us. JC Penny had 5" foam on sale a year ago and that's how we ended up with that. Cut it with electric knife. We've had some moisture problems at times with the foam, but probably caused by cool outside temperatures, 40's & 50's, with heat on in the trailer. We spent 3 months in ours last winter.

Bruce and Kaye...congrats on your first outing. We spent four days at the Savannah KOA over Thanksgiving and yup, you picked a great spot for your first trip. Weren't the mute swans great? We look forward to catching you on the road one of these days. Last October we went to a fun Rally in Cherokee, NC and have registered again for it this year. We had three UHauls...maybe you could come! We loved seeing the other UHauls!
