Reservation Issues!
Hi Claire,
Just tried to make a reservation online only to find that the group site campsites are not listed - the G1 - G11. Am I looking in the wrong place or?
Sent Living Forest an email but no reply as yet.
Barb

Hi Barb, in the bottom left of the map, where it says Group RV. They actually look like a "C" but it is a "G"
As far as I know the only ones left in the group area are: G1, G2, G4, G10, G14, 100, 116, 108, 102, 103, 101. Let me know as soon as you know. Claire

Thanks, Claire. The campsite diagram is so small. I finally phoned them and booked G4. I'll be there early as my niece is graduating from VIU on the Wednesday so I thought I'd just stay down.
Looking forward to seeing everyone and I'll be wearing my new Trillium earrings from Ian!

Just re-read your note, and yes I did find the Group Camping sites on the map but not on the list of sites so I could reserve one. No mention of this anywhere on the website, but the woman I spoke with said they take them off the list so no one else books them. Couldn't find any information about price either. It would be great if they had a note somewhere on their booking site about this.
I'll to speak with the campground manager as it was most frustrating and they don't even have a 1-800 number for a business with 300 sites! She said that they have told the manager but to no avail.
And I really didn't like giving my credit card number over the phone, including the 3 numbers on the back. She didn't repeat or read the numbers back to me and she said it wasn't possible to check them on the computer after they'd been entered.
Okay, now I've had my beef about the issues I encountered. Just so others who may be trying to figure out how to book a site know what to expect.
Looking forward to creating something for Christmas fun!
Barb

I just booked for the meet-up in Sooke on Sept 15, 16 & 17, we have just started to renovate a B15 Beachcraft and have it about half gutted. we still have the fridge and stove but will be sleeping on a mattress on the floor. Looking forward to seeing and hearing what others have done with their trailers.

See you all this weekend
Hello everyone,
Looking forward to my first bowler gathering (I attend the NOG in Northern Oregon every year but haven't made it to one on the island yet). I'll be bringing Chummy (aka: 1968 Boler #049), which i inherited from my grandfather via my aunt and uncle who coincidentally live across from the campground in Sunriver estates, so they will be excited to see her come back home for a few days. Welcoming any and all input on my nightmare ancient hinges and best detailed instructions on replacing them with scamp ones and creating a new locking door I shall bribe/pay for this advice with homemade jams that I just finished canning!
Can't wait to escape to the island for a few days - see you Friday!
Suvi
