Purchased a 1982
Fiber Stream from Cindy in N.E. PA. It was a lovely, but very hot, drive up, and Cindy was a gracious host and made the deal go easily. An even hotter drive back to Baltimore, Maryland (101F in Harrisburg) and I was ready to start on refurbishment.
I have included a few images to show the before and after of the initial cleaning and Zepping. We were totally amazed at the difference using TSP wash-down, Bar Tender's Friend product scrub-down, and 4 VERY
light coats of Zep High Traffic Floor product from Home Depot.
For all of us who have struggled with removing SCOTCH TAPE and DUCK TAPE and the dreaded DECALS from older
fiberglass - A Moment of Silence. Let's all promise not to use these nasty products again! YIKES.
We also removed a water-damaged area of the ceiling, and will provide more images of the repair using FRP.
We will include a series of pictures on the full refurbishment on our website
The Flying Tiger Transport of Maryland (http:\\www.flyingtigertransport.com) and post updates on this site.
It's been very valuable to review the many posts from members, and to see the great work already done by others.
We look forward to sharing and learning about this really cool little unit!
