Overnighting??

Since we are now both retired we were thinking of starting out a few days early and staying overnight along the way
In the past we have taken hyway #6 through Guelph so anywhere after that across the 401 would be great
Any ideas on a camping spot maybe along the Grand??

I just got a PM today that a member just booked the last available 15 amp site reserved for the bolerama group. Anyone else wanting to join in can still camp in the group site, you will be boondocking though.

Just a reminder, this years bolerama theme is Hitchstock. A take off on the Woodstock festival back in 1969 which just happens to be the start of the boler. An erea of Peace, Love and Funky colours. Fred is expecting many of us to show up with Tie Dye clothing.

I was just at Michaels here in Canada and they have a Tie Die Kit on a clearance sale for $7.99. That is 1/2 price. If you are 55+ you get and additonal 10% off.
Here is the kit: Tie Dye Kit 30 Pieces Makes up to 15 Shirts (886946415142) $15.00

Let's show our true colours and not dissapoint the organizers.

I think so Mike. Unlike Woodstock which had the exclusive use of a property, we are sharing the campground with families.

If clothing optional is your style, I understand there is a private beach located 1km west of the Port Burwell Provincial Park parking lot #5. List of social nudity places in North America - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Your route might pass it both coming and going to Hitchstock.

Yikes, this has become a costume party!! I guess I have to find my old flowered polyester knit shirt from the old days which I saved for just these occasions. I don't think I have any bell-bottoms, darn it. If we go "1960's" some year, I can wear my patchwork madras!! Jennifer

You can camp at Valens Conservation area in Flamborough but it isn't on the Grand. There is a big "lake" there as I recall. It is west of highway 6 before you get to the escarpment above Hamilton/Burlington

And 4 years after the movie
The Love Bug - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
described as " that starred an anthropomorphic pearl-white, fabric-sunroofed 1963 Volkswagen racing Beetle named Herbie"

anthropomorphic?
pearl-white?

Sounds like a "Love Bug" to me ...

Woodstock to Hitchstock, 114 km.
Almost all loaded up and ready to roll. Toss in the cooler in the morning and away, away. Wrung out the clouds on Monday and Tuesday and Ordered a huge amount of sunny weather for the rest of the week just to make everyone happy.
See y'all on the weekend
Jim and Joan
