We have moved the location to Flory’s camping- Florys Cottages and Camping - Lancaster County PA. About 3 miles from our original BeaconHill site.

Contact Flory’s Campground (Claudette) and tell her you are with the Casita group. Email: info@Floryscamping.com or call 717-687-6670. Their cancellation policy is 30 days notice, less $10.

Keep in mind that the Amish and many Mennonites have a religious holiday on Sat. Oct 11 and are also closed on Sunday, Oct 12. Columbus Day is Monday, Oct 13 so it is a holiday weekend but much is closed. For those who wish to extend their stay, I’d recommend doing it the Oct 3-5 weekend instead.

This will allow us to expand our events to include a dessert get together the Casita crawl and swap meet, a potluck dinner and tech night.

Lancaster Casita Get-together Schedule of Events at Floryscamping.com

As of July 28, 2014, we have 14 Casitas attending the get together. Below is the tentative schedule of events: For all events bring your own place settings.

Arrive Sunday, Oct 5 by 6 pm.
6:30 pm Dessert and Get Together. Bring a dessert representative of your home area. For example, a shoo fly pie will be provided from the Lancaster area.
Find out what’s in the area; decide on carpooling, if needed.

Monday, Oct 6, 1-4 pm: Casita Crawl- Open house!
4pm : Tech talk at the pavilion
Dinner on your own or with your new friends.

Tuesday, Oct 7 4 pm Swap meet - bring stuff appropriate for campers
6 pm: Pot luck dinner and raffle of a DVD HD TV from Casita


Wednesday, Oct 8 6 pm: Dinner at Boswell’s in New Holland with a chef from the Culinary Institute of America. Fixed price menu. Sign up on Sunday.

Thursday, Oct 9 check out and say goodbye!

Hello All, I just looked up Boswell's Restaurant to see if they had a menu on-line and it said it was closing it's doors on Feb. 23, 2014. Did they reopen?

Wonderful time had by all!! Many new friendships have been made. Can't wait till next year. So much to see and do in the area, with picturesque scenery everywhere. Thank you to the gracious hosts of the rally and campground!
