Need a replacement vent for a 98 Burro

The neighbor's trampoline was blown over the fence and hit my Burro's vent and ruined it. I'm not sure where to get a replacement. Went to my local trailer supply store and they didn't have anything that fits the hinge. Would this maybe be a pin type cover?

I've attached a couple of photos to this thread to show what type of hinge is on the vent.

I'd love any help thanks!
Cynthia

I was able to get a replacement lid very easily at my local RV dealer. Did not have to replace the entire unit. It easily attached, Cost about $15. I think there were 2 or 3 different styles available for different hinges

Mine is a 78 burro, and from what I remember, the hinge configuration looks very similar to yours

Have you been able to find a replacement?
The hinge is really big. And the new lid that I bought, the hinge wouldn't allow the whole lid to close completely, the hinge on the lid piece was too small.

I've been looking online for something like what I need but the pictures that are provided are not detailed enough for me to see if it will fit.

I'm not sure if it needs a pin or not? If there was one there, it was broken off by the darn trampoline.

Based on our experience with our Burro, the best thing we ever did was to remove the original vent (like yours) and put in a Maxx Fan. We love it and it keeps the interior far more comfortable. Just a thought that you might consider if you can't replace the cover.

I have a Fantastic Fan in the back vent.. it works okay, but didn't really notice last summer that it really cooled things down when it was really hot.

What I'd love to get is AC... but that's not quite in the budget now.

I like the max fan too. If worse comes to worse and you have to replace it then maybe a maxxfan will be good. You can keep the lid open while it's raining.
