Rivet Replacemnt on my Boler

Hey, I just bought myself a Boler. First time poster. I believe its from 1969 or 1970. Anyways, as I have been working on my restoration, I have ran into a small issue. I have had to drill out some old rivets which at one time held the counter to the shell. I am not really wanting to put new rivets in and am really looking for something to easily replace it with that wont leak and won't be all that noticeable. I was thinking of using nuts an bolts. If anybody has any kind or solution it would be greatly appreciated.

Michaela- I don't have any suggestions for alternatives to use to rivets, because I've tried a few things such as screws in my Scamp and have ended up practicing with a rivet gun until I'm proficient because the rivets are really one of the easiest things to use on our eggs.

Thanks for the reply, I'll be looking into a rivet gun. I know it is the best option, especially if I want to make it looks as original as possible.
Cheers.
