Where do you store the bedding in a 13 ft Scamp

We are looking at 13 foot Scamp, in fact we toured the factory in Backus this week.
When the bed is not setup where do you store the bedding?
We are looking at the toilet/shower layout but don't want to store it there as I foresee the bed only torn down in bad weather so will need that space for wet coats etc.

Hi, in the 13 ft trailer we've always found the storage under the dinette seat works best ( one that has no outside access , because that storage area always seemed to inconvenient for stuff one needs regularly , and it's usually big enough to hold a lot .

That would work except the fresh water tank is under one and the water heater is under the other! Didn't seem like a lot of leftover space

We put our bedcloths in the front closet next to the bathroom.the lower one.One thing that we learned...don't store them and forget about them. They will mildew. We make sure that we take them out when we get home and clean them and leave the closet doors open so they can get air,I know, I'm a dummy everyone knew that

That then is a problem , guess you'd want that bedding put away in lousy weather so you have a place to sit - one could make ( or buy ) nice tray with legs that you could put on top of your made bed for eating or playing cards or something . In our Trillium Outback presently listed in the classifieds we found there is enough space for 2 nicely padded folding chairs ( Canadian Tire ) and we have a sort of tray that we put on a pulled out drawer ,the bed is just left made up ( our under seat storage is mostly empty ) .

I really don't know where your hot water heater sits, but here's what I do.
First off my bedding consists of two sleeping bags that fit into stuff sacks. I put a partition in the area under the dinette seat on the street side. The bags fit in the area to the rear of the partition when in their stuff sacks.

In front closet next to Shower. I leave the bedding spread out on the bed for a couple of days so it dries out before I put it in closet. Seems to work.

We roll up the bedding and put it in a King size pillow case. Then that either goes in the front closet next to the bathroom door or standing upright on the left dinette seat under the TV.

Since our rear dinette is always in the bed position we just make the bed up in the morning. We aren't concerned about bedding storage that way....

we are leaving ours made up as a bed. when we do put up the dinette, i will simply put it in the back of the tow vehicle. most folks use an extra foam pad or something for the bed and thats the big problem,, blankets can get tucked away easy enough.

hey, say hi to wayne from the warrens in michigan, we just picked ours up the 19th of march.

tell him we have found one issue. its not really a fault as much as a fluke.

with the outside temprature quite cool. and the furnace on.

the aluminum brackets that hold the awning on soak so much heat out of the bolts,,, that they stay cold enough to form condensation. which,,, the bolts being above my head....drip on my face,,,about one or two drops per hour. like a very slow chinese water torture. if they were to put,,maybe a rubber cap, instead of the pretty acorn nuts on those bolts,,it may prevent that. or maybe its such a rare thing that its not something to worry about. but they won't know about it at all unless someone says something.

(and you have no idea how hard that was to discribe with out saying my nuts are dripping......)

Hey John
I seen small plastic caps that fit over the hex nuts, this may work on your problem, may be worth a try.

John, what about sleeping with your head streetside instead of curbside that way the drip only gets your feet? I'm sure others must have experienced this too and have a better solution. Isnt there some old saying about petting a cat backwards so "turn the cat around"?????

We don't know where to stow bedding either

Brian, we just picked up our Scamp 13 earlier this month in Backus and have it stowed for winter. I am grappling with this same question. I will be keeping an eye on this thread to give me ideas as well.
