Oliver and weight distribution and sway control

Any thoughts on towing with the WD hitch and a sway control on the new Olivers? About 4200lbs dry weight with an aluminum frame. Am concerned about possible damage to the frame. Boomer

With a trailer that heavy it is usually expected that a WDH is going to be used. To be sure why not check with Oliver to double check.

Good question- Oliver has borrowed a lot from European design, and W/D hitches are virtually unheard of on trailers over there.

I don't see one on any of the Olivers at this Flicker photo page....

In addition to its aluminum construction, the specialized design of the Oliver tongue would certainly lead me to wonder about the use of W/D on this trailer- I'll be interested to hear what the manufacturer says.

With an adjustable tongue length, it is possible to control weight distribution without additional external equipment.

We pulled our 17' Oliver Legacy Elite with a Jeep Wrangler four door, without a weight distribution hitch or sway bar.

But then again, a couple of considerations of the 17' Oliver over a 22'.... five more feet and WHAT tug? There are tugs that are "self-leveling" no WDH required... ask Oliver and be sure to tell them what you're towiing with (including TUG options)
