Glamper Scamp

1989 13' Scamp. Finishing up my remodel and it's looking good! I have more shopping to do for decor, but I'm loving it so far. Click image for larger version

The question is I get asked the most is about the backsplash. I had no "rat fur" in my camper. Previous owner had redone the whole inside. The backsplash was installed because they had gotten silicone about 3 inches up on the wall behind the sink and it wouldn't take paint. So, I decided to add a backsplash. Turns out it's a huge hit! It's a plastic 2'x4' sheet from Lowes. It's called "faux tin ceiling panel". It came in different colors, I ordered white. I then roller painted it with my wall color which is Country White. Let it dry overnight, then lightly rolled it with the aqua. Purposely not doing a perfect job. It looks very distressed which is what I wanted. I didn't seal it, although I probably should of. That was an afterthought. I don't have a stove in there, so it will probably be fine.
The ceiling (aqua) color is Glidden "Bell Bottoms".

I love the colors you've chosen. Did you dye/paint the rat fur on the ceiling?

You're clearly having too much fun!

So, rat fur is gone. Is there anything on the walls besides paint? The ribs make a vintage paneled look, and the two-tone paint is nice. Unique.

I'm curious what you've got going on the walls and ceiling. Doesn't look like the OEM "rat fur" headliner from 1989...

The two-tone paint is nice. Unique.

This is what it looked like when I bought it. Some type of wall board on the walls like you see in mobile homes. The ceiling was painted tan, so I don't know if it's regular wood or wall board.

i have to pat myself on the back

I have 2 sites I hang out on Doreen showed this off on that site I invited her to come over here and share her fantastic job.

I have invited various people to come put there rigs on sale here some sold very quickly.

the power of fiberglass rv is amazing for selling a rig I don't think I have heard of a dissatisfied seller or buyer here!

it is still amazing
