I got my site for Scamp Camp 2016

Booked my site for Scamp Camp 2016. We took # 68. Picking is already getting pretty slim. Only 61(I think) sites still open. Get them now and you will forget the money part of it by next Feb. and it will be like camping for free.

Scamp Camp is at Highlands Hammock just outside of Sebring, Florida. This is the orignal scamp camp. I think that 2016 will be like the 18th or 19th year, but I not certain on that. But its been going on for many many years. The 2015 outing just got over in the Mid February timeframe. If you are thinking about going in 2016 check the site for Highlands Hammock. The last time I looked, this past weekend there was only about 45-50 sites still available. Sound like alot but out about 200 stie that opened up on the 8th of March that isn't many sites still availabe.

Hope anyone reading this can make it. Well worth the trip getting there.

Would love to go but just a bit too far. I have been in the area for work, aerial mapped the area. Also, our Scamp gets winterized around November, and cannot be utilized until spring, which is NOW!

We booked our site last week, the lower loop was completely available. Our site is one in the 50's, were not at home now or I could give the exact site number.

Smile 2016 Scamp Camp

Jose--Sorry we missed you in Feb. We hope to make both Scamp Camp and Orlando Ham Radio Hamcation!!

2016 Feb. 8 - 12?,
2016 Feb. 12 - 14, Orlando Annual Ham Radio Hamfest (Hamcation)

John & Marilyn--Sorry we missed you also. We never did make it to Arizona, only to Texas--but not because of the Subaru Outback--It towed great! We also used the anti-sway bar setup. Hope to see you in 2016

Mike & Helene---Great to meet you both at Scamp Camp this year! We had a GREAT time and are planning on 2016, but won't know for sure until later this year.

2106 Scamp Camp Announcement?

Are the 2016 Scamp Camp dates listed? I can't find an announcement anywhere--at the Scamp site or Google search. But, like Mike says, the State Park is already almost totally booked for that weekend.
Thanks, Mark

Hi Doug,
K1MAP
We have a station in the TV (Kenwood TS2000). Right now just VHF-UHF, but I may add an HF antenna. Hope to see you at Scamp Camp.

No rigs in the TV, but will likely get a 2 meter rig in it for the towing season. Rigs at home are Yaesu FT 920 to a Hustler 6 BTV, 57 radials, tilt over plate, radial plate, and my other rig is a Kenwood TS 450 on a dipole. My Yaesu has a Ameritron AL 600 amp. Use a Heil Mic on a boom and foot switch.

Pretty tough talk considering you can't even use your real name. Please tell it to me. I'm coming thru Missouri this summer, I could look you up.
