Wink cabinet doors

Our 2018 Casita Liberty Dlx has the same dang doors..The new Casitas do have a plastic cutting board/sink cover..thank goodness.
We are planing to seal the doors around the sink area AND the edges of the bathroom door .AND the edges of the door where the microwave resides.... with polyurethane to prevent any swelling..if that seems ok ...any thoughts?

We thought about taking them completely off and redoing all of them w some fancy covering..but so far that seems like too much work.

You asked for thoughts so....you might be over thinking it Fred, although it can't hurt . I can see your concern of any doors or drawers under the sink because of direct spills from the sink but the shower curtain will take care of the bathroom door as a bit of steam on occasion won't cause swelling, it's on the outside of the shower stall and in full fresh dry air and the microwave door, no problem.

I did the doors/ drawers under the sink and liked the result so much I ended up doing everything, including the divider between the bed and dinette. I sanded first and applied three coats, lightly sanding between each coat. Now, clothes no longer “snag” when brushing against the table or microwave door. Nice smooth finish that feels nice to the touch. Worth the effort.

I polyurethaned all the edges as well. Keep in mind that it will darken the edge somewhat and if you want everything to match you have to do them all. It not only seals against moisture but keeps the edges from becoming stained/soiled.

I removed almost everything prior to sealing and worked on them in the shop.

They look great!
