It's a nice looking little trailer and anyone that sees it comments on how cool it looks and says why doesn't anyone make trailer like this anymore?

The odd thing for me is how much men like this trailer it seems to strike them as being a very practical unit.

I'm going to build a customized interior and colour match it to my 1979 Bronco.

Rick.

Well congratulation on your new purchase! Whoooooooo Hooooooo Beachcombers are lil cuties! Oh as far as the attention grabbing lil trailer you just bought, just wait even stopping to fill up with gas will become a 30 minute project. Everyone will be wanting a tour. Enjoy!

Seems like there are a couple of Beachcomber owners around here so hang in there, hopefully they will see your post. But in the meantime can we get you to post a few pic's of it? We like pictures here! LOL................... And please post your progress of your customizing along with pics................. Again, Congrats! Enjoy!

Thanks for your reply, it should be interesting towing the Beachcomber with my 1979 Bronco because it has a removable fiberglass cap on the back so the passengers sit in open air.

As for pictures, first chance I get.

Welcome to the group. I've attached some photos from a very nice interior mod of a Beachcomber. Not my trailer, and I'm not sure if a FG member owns this.
The stainless kichen area is excellent!! Maybe Inspiration?

I have one. Going on our second season with it now. I love it.

Although it is as aerodynamic as a billboard it is not to bad to pull.

That one in the pic above looks nice. Soon we will gut ours and restore it

Yes that's a nice kitchen.

I plan on using a little bit of the original the top cupboards were all in great shape so they'll get used the sink and stove will get reused the fridge will be re used the toilet or a new one will be used the furnace for now at least will not be re installed due to age and mostly not required.

The flooring and wall studs are going to be blue board and rigid foam insulation I'm looking for some kind of vinyl sheeting to do the walls with.

I also plan on re doing all wiring and plumbing, brakes and the propane system.

I need to do the wireing in ours as well. its working for now but not so great. When we plug into shore power all marker lights are on don't like that. and i need to replace the inverter it puts out 12v AC a little sketchy if you as me. otherwise ours is great. it could use a new fridge but for now ours wrkes really well. its just got a little perma dirt in it. The furnase is awesome it will easily keep the trailer above 20'c when it was -25'c outside. We have no toilet. where the heck is that?

The toilet sits right behind the furnace, I believe the name on it is Potporrie or something silly like that.

1977 Beachcomber

I recently purchased a 1977 Beachcomber. A previous owner had started rebuilding the interior but I'm not sure how much of that I will keep. It will stay in outdoor storage until I can start working on it. I have towed it a few times with my 2001 Subaru Forester and found that it towed quite easily.; I live in Ontario, Canada but plan to tow it to the west coast for my regular visits there and maybe to Florida for some kayaking.
