Does anyone recognize this bracket in our Scamp?

We don't know the purposed of this plastic bracket. It's mounted on the front wall on above the single dinette seat/ bathroom wall in out '99 16 ft Scamp. Any ideas? I imagine a camping store would know.

Thanks for any advice!

It's not a very clear pic, but it looks bit like a bracket for a removable paper towel holder I once had in one of my RV's

My guess was that a previous owner had a light that slid into the bracket. You can see the little "tongues" that gripped the whatever-it-was. Though, it could have been Velvet Elvis painting...

Clearly aftermarket, my first thought was paper towel bracket, but I like your guesses better!

identifying "the bracket"

I don't see a paper towel roll fitting overhead there if it has to stick out from the wall at the dinette... but maybe. Too bad someone didn't leave the other part of the fitting, even if they removed Elvis. I will re-post if I figure it out. Thanks.

Bracket?

I'm guessing it could be used as a towel rack......tuck the corner into one of the tabs with a finger and easily pulled out with a quick tug. Any chance of asking the previous owners?

the bracket

Unfortunately the last owner never used the Scamp due to failing health but it might be worth asking. The owner preceding her is unknown to us. Towel rack might make sense right outside the shower.

Steve tried the water system today. Hot water heater burner needs to be cleaned up but it lights easily. He still wants to figure out why the refrig propane doesn't light, but we could easily get out in it for a shakedown when we can free up some time.

Could've been a smoke or carbon detector.
