Albany, Or., which is where the trailer on ebay is located, and Salem, Or. are in the same area.

Craigslist probably doesn't have an Albany faction. It isn't a thriving metropolis.

Thanks. The easiest way to put them out of business is to dialog with them (documentation) and get their IP address from the headers of email. Even if the guy used a proxy to hide his location he can be found. I figure this guy has scammed so many people with his fake squaretrade site, that it's worth a little effort to tail him and report him.

This guy wanted my name/address bad! lol wonder what he would have done with that?

Don't know this for sure, but when my Surfside was on Portland OR Craigslist in early June, there's a fellow in Albany that was selling various "eggs" both on Craigslist and on ebay simultaneously--I called them. Didn't know too much about the trailers they had listed -- didn't say on ebay that they were listed locally for sale. Someone on this forum actually went to see one of them, a Perris Pacer, reputed to be...

I think they "buy and sell" without much interest in them -- just the $$$

Just got an email from homestead.com and they have shut down his squaretrade-case.com site. The other day it would bounce you to the main page of ebay to access his auctions. I tried the site just now and I get:

<div align="center">

[b]Sorry, the site you requested has been disabled

</div>

Email response to my complaint:

Thank you for bringing this situation to our attention. As a passive
conduit, Homestead cannot monitor user websites, but we respond to

Thank you again.

It pays to be pro-active and shut them down. Websites don't have the staff to monitor all the sites on their servers.

Hello,

Thanks for the report.

The customer/account that was responsible for sending you this spam has
been identified and the account was cancelled.

Also, did the same for the jukebox06 account too.

Please let us know if you have any more problems.

thx guys. Internet fraud is no joke and the only way to stop it is to get involved. It took very little effort to get this guy. Let me know if you find others that have stolen your ads. That just crosses the line! lol if it were me I would be ripped

Since when did 16' Casitas have ROOF Air ? I thought it was bogus, just for that reason.

Whoops, it was a Scamp, sorry.

That add is taken from a real add. The trailer shown is a Scamp, not a Casita. All sizes of Scamp can be ordered with roof air.

The real give away is that the "seller" doesn't want any contact except through his/her email. That email address is no longer valid. I wonder how long it'll take our scammer to figure that out.

Yup. I also tried to send an email to him hoping to have a little baiting fun. But alas his email no longer works.

Darn I missed the ebay auction. It's been pulled. Was it the same mysweetmonkey guy? He's going to be peeved when he finds out he can no longer access his email

Wonder how many deals in the works were left in his inbox?

I also contacted abuse@zappmobile.ro in Romania (his 84.247.60.117 IP). It's a prepaid romanian cell phone service.

Yes it was the mysweetmonkey guy.

I wonder if he even knows his email account has been canceled. OH! wouldn't it be great to have his cell phone service cut off. Good for you.

Is that sorta like "egging" this "rotten egg" seller?..
Thanks, Tracy and Byron for your efforts.

Wow Byron some go to great lengths to rid the world of scammers. I never knew there were so many out there baiting and trapping them.

I now need to figure out how to determine someone's IP address from their emails.
